Stopped in for dinner while traveling for work and had a great experience. I went with the grouper special smothered in a butter cream sauce with new potatoes and broccoli, and it was excellent. The fish was cooked perfectly, the sauce was flavorful without being heavy, and the sides were done just right.
The restaurant was busy with a wait to be seated, so since I was dining alone I took advantage of an open seat at the bar, which worked out perfectly. The staff was polite, fun, and welcoming, and I genuinely enjoyed the southern accents. It added to the charm and made the experience even more enjoyable.
I paired the meal with a Pernicious IPA, which complemented the dish really well and was a solid recommendation. The atmosphere was clean and inviting, and one detail that stood out was how clean everything was, including the bathroom.
Overall, a very satisfying dinner and I would definitely return if I am back in the area.

Had an amazing time last night had a party of 10 for my bday and they we’re very helpful getting all the party together got a chance to meet the 2 owners awesome guys steaks are amazing potato salad amazing tried the alligator cheesecake appetizer and mermaids nachos fantastic everything they serve you can’t go wrong with son got shrimp amd grits catfish and fries fantastic

We ate here for my birthday, we were looking for seafood in the area and hoping to get lobster. They didn’t have it. I settled on the bacon wrapped scallops and shrimp. It was good but small portions. My husband had the shrimp and grits. The grits came with a very Cajun spicy gravy which he didn’t like. The grits would have been better without this. He did like the shrimp that came on top.This choice on the menu was a large portion but couldn’t enjoy it as much because of the spicy taste was too much. Our tea came in a plastic solo cup, not even in a glass. Our server wasn’t the greatest, he didn’t know the menu well enough to advise. He had to keep going back to get an answer to every question we asked him. Not impressed and probably won’t return. They do have a large selection on the menu though. The meal and service could have been better.

The cheesy alligator bites was very salty. My daughter and I ordered the steak ( which was said to be the best ten years in a row) it was very fatty and taste like gasoline. Overall not the place for me.

I’m not fond of oysters, but I did try them. The fish we had was great. Everything tasted great, and their tarter sauce plus cocktail sauce was the bomb. We enjoyed it very much, thank you. My waitress was polite and was there when our drinks were halfway gone.

Took two bites of the shrimp and grits. Grits taste like they’re instant from the package, cheese is from a bag, shrimp was overcooked. I knew it was going to be a disaster when it showed up within 5 minutes of being ordered. What an imposter.

Always a great experience. The Baseball cut steak is the best steak around and they nail it everytime. Don’t let the parking lot run you away… very little wait time (if any) usually. The staff is so pleasant and attentive; I could go everyday!

I stopped in Sumter whilst driving home from Orlando to Raleigh. I did a quick trawl of the area for dinner and I was impressed with the reviews.
I ate in the bar area and the barguy, Paul, was a blast from start to finish. He proceeded to introduce me to all the customers that were already in there, including Billy and Dusty Bottle…lOL
The food was excellent. Oyster Rockefeller, bacon wrapped scallops and shrimp, and a great side salad…oh and a couple dirty martinis.
Highly recommended and worth the detour from I95

Took a drive and came across this place unexpectedly. FABULOUS! Atmosphere laid back and yet you cannot help but feel energized!
Valerie was our server! Valerie shared what she liked in the menu – great conversation. Everyone that worked there were energetic and outgoing!
