First the food is very good. We liked the in-house s’mores pie so much we use that as our birthday cake. They did not charge a room charge if we made their minimum order which was not very high.
The service was outstanding. We had several people more than enough for our party size. Upstairs, we had an open bar and we did buffet style and we also had several different separate rooms for musicians and other things.
Lastly, they went out of their way to split the leftover food among family members and went out of their way to split it evenly or everybody could have a piece.
Just great atmosphere great food, and great service
A Mixed Bag of Bites and Brews
The staff here are excellent! They provided great service and were super accommodating for our group. The vibe is fun and friendly, making it a spot I’d highly recommend for a quick bite or drink.
Now, let’s talk food:
The Prime Rib French Dip was just okay. I enjoyed the meat itself, but the “horseradish sauce” was a real letdown – it had absolutely no horseradish flavor. The au jus could’ve used a flavor boost, though the onions and cheese on the sandwich were great.
On a brighter note, the Market Salad was great!
Unfortunately, the mac and cheese was a big disappointment. It was grainy, almost as if it broke or wasn’t mixed properly. Also, a heads-up: the cornbread has jalapeño in it, which isn’t mentioned on the menu. It was still good, but worth knowing.
The sliders were decent, except for the chicken. We were expecting something like “beer can chicken,” but it was more akin to a chicken salad.
A friend raved that the coleslaw was excellent, and the stacked nachos were good. Just be warned, once you get past the top layer, it’s mostly chips, so make sure to save some toppings for the bottom.
I enjoyed with… delicious cornbread…a bit out of the tradition.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fantastic meal!
After we sat, we waited a while for someone to greet us… like I said, they were busy and they only had two servers. The ladies serving were friendly, which was nice. We ordered their tri-tip sandwich and their beef dip sandwich. The tri-tip meat was very dry and flaky and not very appetizing to eat. The french dip sandwich had better meat on it, but the sandwich was dry and I didn’t detect much horseradish sauce on it. Their side of beans were just ok, but too sweet and actually harder than al dente. Cole slaw needed lots of salt and still lacked that cole slaw flavor.
Overall, wasn’t impressed, definitely wouldn’t return.
