Husband took me to lunch for my birthday. Our waitress was awesome! Food was fantastic! He gets the smoked burger every time and added the candied bacon this time-super good! I had a side salad and the Cuban, my favorite!!! Clean restaurant and fully stocked. Excellent service, atmosphere and food!! Shout out to our waitress, Chrsathemn! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The sliced brisket was mediocre, lacked flavor till you add some of their sauces. It was also served cold.
The baby back ribs had good flavor but had a below average amount of meat on them.
The Sides:
The garlic bread was good.
The Mac and cheese lacked salt.
The beans were alright.

I order from this location at least once a month. The ribs are always yummy, tender, and meaty. The pulled pork and brisket is really really good. They have good chicken too. All of their food is good lol. I wouldn’t mind a little seasoning in the green beans but I can add it when I have takeout. They have delicious sweet cornbread. Their prime rib is good too (I didn’t have it with the horseradish). I would def recommend!!

This was me and my father 2nd day eating at Sonny’s in a row. My Dad is a 93 year old man on hospice and he wanted to eat Sonny’s bbq 2 days straight. For someone who can barely hold things with his hands, he held his rib and ate it with no issues. We loved our ribs.

The food was less than average! The wings were extremely dry, dark, extra crispy and old. The Mac and cheese was dry and old. The green beans were decent. The brisket had very little seasoning and tough but, the sauce made it bearable. It was late in the evening however, that should not be an excuse for terrible food. The food was sent back and what was brought out to me was worse than what I sent back. Totally unacceptable!!

I had the pleasure of being waited on by Holli and I can honestly say she completely elevated my dining experience. From the moment I was seated, she greeted me with such genuine warmth and professionalism that instantly made me feel welcome. It’s rare to come across a server who not only remembers every detail of your order but also checks in at the perfect moments—never hovering, but always right there when needed.
Holli was knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations that ended up being spot-on. She handled everything with confidence and a great attitude, even when the restaurant started to get busy. You could tell she truly cared about her guests and took pride in her work. My drinks were always refilled, my food came out exactly as ordered, and she made sure everything was perfect without me having to ask.
On top of that, she was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. Her energy and positivity created such a pleasant atmosphere that it really made my visit memorable. In my opinion, Holli is the kind of employee every restaurant should be proud to have—attentive, professional, and genuinely kind.
If you visit, definitely ask for Holli. She’s the reason I’ll be coming back!

I visited this location on Veterans Day because they offered the Pork Big Deal for free. The young man who took orders was very nice but the service in general was very slow; waited about 20-25 minutes for food.
The restaurant was filled with smoke that burned your eyes. Some customers waited inside but many of us waited outside because our eyes were burning from smoke. I guess the manager didn’t see fit to open entrance doors to allow the smoke to escape.
The food didn’t look very appetizing. I gave it to my neighbor. But one of the regular customers stated that the food was very good.
I definitely appreciate that we were given a free meal. This was very kind and thoughtful. There is very nice outdoor seating and 2 picnic bench are on concrete which was also very nice. Seems like a great location and restaurant if you enjoy BBQ with the exception of very slow service and smoke. The atmosphere would be 5 stars had it not been filled with smoke.

I love this establishment! My server, Chris was so vibrant and upbeat! I can still smell the bbq from the building embodying the essence of MS bbq !!! Will definitely be coming back!
