I love this dim sum restaurant. I’ve enjoyed it twice, on two different occasions, while overnighting in Richmond on flight stopovers. Both times I went early in the day – just after they open at 10am. This time I thoroughly enjoyed the chrysanthemum tea with my meal. Staff is attentive and food is served hot and quickly. The food is excellent. The restaurant space is huge (lots of professional staff) and tables set with pristine white table cloths. On my stopovers I order enough food to try at the table and then I take the rest with me to enjoy on my flight. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great dim sum spot! We made a reservation, which I highly recommend because the place is popular—there were about 20 people in the reservation line alone, plus a separate line for walk-ins.

The food quality was excellent and the pricing felt very fair. The environment is nice, though be aware there is a standard per-person tea charge. It’s a very busy, high-energy atmosphere. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it lacks a bit of a “personal touch.” Service is efficient but there isn’t much interaction with the staff.

Overall, I’d definitely come back for the food!

Fisherman’s Terrace Seafood Restaurant is a highly popular, large Cantonese restaurant in Richmond, BC, known for its authentic dim sum, fresh seafood, and elegant setting inside Aberdeen Centre, a major mall in Richmond, BC. They offer a vast menu with English and Chinese options, specializing in classic dishes like shrimp dumplings (har gow), pork buns (siu mai), and steamed chicken, making it a go-to spot for family gatherings and banquets.

They are located on the third floor and they have free parking located inside their multi level parkade. I think they have a 3 hour limit parking but don’t quote me on it. I just don’t remember what the signs said about the hourly limits.

The dim sum is tasty. It’s a busy location with a lot of Aunties, Uncles, and elders. I wasn’t expecting the portions to be a touch smaller than average. Perhaps it was an off day? The Su Mai, pork and prawn dumplings was small. The Egg tarts were small. The sticky rice was small too. Definitely no complaints on the taste. It’s tasty. But compared to other competitors, other places easily scored higher on value for the same quality with more quantity. By the way if anyone is wondering, the tea fee is $2.00.

I would love to come again to try their dinner menu soon.

Fisherman’s Terrace is a highly recommended dim sum spot, conveniently located on the 3rd floor of the Aberdeen Centre. The restaurant itself is glamorous and spacious, providing a comfortable and enjoyable setting for a meal.

The dim sum is really good, consistently made with fresh ingredients and served in good portions. What truly sets this place apart is the quick and attentive service. I still remember the kind smile of the old male server, a detail that highlights their commitment to a pleasant dining experience. An English menu is available, making it welcoming for everyone.

Food was honestly, average. Service was terrible with waitress demanding for more tips even though we tipped more than fairly for the quality of service we got. No clue why this place so crowded when there are so many other better options elsewhere.

Portions were slightly on the smaller side of dimsum restaurants with flavour being so-so. Salted egg custard bun was were thick and floury instead of light and fluffy. Soy sauce chicken was just a very skinny chicken, I think they bought the chicken from KFC given how much bones and how little meat there was.

The dishes were dirty when we arrived with bits of old vegetable stuck to chopsticks and bowls, but we cleaned it up ourselves as the restaurant was slightly busy.

When we went to pay we were told that we didn’t tip enough which was frankly surprising as we were three people paying close to 100 and all the server did was bring the food.

Would not recommend this place due to servers demanding more tips when they just do the bare minimum and food being extremely mediocre.

All dishes we ordered were quite good, except the last item (the filling was mushy). Overall, I had a decent experience. The server was quick and attentive!

The photos are organized in the same order as shown in the bill (last photo).

Solo weekend dim sum brunch, haven’t been here for a while, and the reviews online has still been great, have to come back and verify

Food is still as good as I remember, very similar to the quality in Hong Kong. Yes, that’s where I grew up in.

Service was very good too, they are busy but still show friendliness. Love it

Decor is still good, even it’s been here for a long time. It’s a bit dated, but it’s the timeless style that shows character.

100% coming back. Hope you like it too

Saturday around noon and rainy so the mall’s parking was a brutally slow go so we parked elsewhere nearby. We reserved and only needed to wait 15 minutes before being seated. The food and service was excellent. $6.00 for a pot of tee ? I think the shrimp are local and fresh. Very popular and busy restaurant. Interesting menu. I would recommend and return but at a less busy time.

This is a great place to have dim sum or dinner with friends and family. They are also great for reunions and the like too.

Parking is good in that it’s all covered and connected, so it is no issue when there’s rain or snow. Parking can be atrocious though when there are too many cars and there’s just stagnant congestion.

Situated inside Aberdeen mall. This place nails the classics like crispy chicken. Usually that is a more expensive dish but a lot of places make it really dry. This place got it right. Super juicy chicken, even the white meat. They also have few unique dishes. Loved the basil fried pork chop. Great place for family dinner. Great service. Our waitress was bustling but attentive. Refilling waters and switching plates.
