It’s been awhile since our last visit to Nine Mile, and it’s still as good as we remembered. The restaurant was busy as usual, but we were able to get seats at the bar. Drinks and the complimentary salad came quickly; the entrees took a whole, which we wouldn’t have minded if parking in West Asheville wasn’t so expensive. The food though was creative and absolutely delicious! Not sure how Asheville ended up with such great Caribbean cuisine, but we are definitely coming back.

Stopped in and had a little wait (about 45 minutes) but it was worth it! We started with the Live and Give appetizer (tortilla chips, salsa) and added Mojito’s to quench our thirst. Our server, Jax, was terrific, helping us figure out what to eat. My wife had the Kingston 12 (shrimp in a red coconut curry over basmati rice) which was fantastic, and I had the Meshach (grilled hickory molasses rubbed chicken with porcini mushrooms on cavatappi pasta) — again, just wonderful!
Next time we are in Asheville, you’ll just have to stand in line behind us as we are going there again!

I totally enjoyed their food. Not a bad price either. The atmosphere and service was excellent. I had a seared tuna and grilled pineapple on fresh greens salad with homemade mango dressing.It was absolutely delicious. I would recommend this restaurant and will be going back.

Overall a nice spot for a Jamaican Caribbean flair. Nice varied menu, draft beer selection limited to mostly house brew, cocktails pricy not exciting. Seafood dish top notch, jerk chicken dish nice but wanted to enjoy the jerk spice, NOT the overload ginger sauce component. I would recommend less ginger or sauce on side IMO, service friendly, comfortable seating with a small bar. Limited street free parking, paid lots around

Nine Mile is 100% my favorite restaurant in town. So many good dishes. A couple of my favorites are Marley’s Magic, Mt. Zion, and the Soul Rebel. They have so many options for all dietary needs. Their menu is clearly marked with dietary restrictions and allergies in mind. They also offer Gluten Free pasta.
They are the creators of my favorite salad dressing ever (His Majesty’s) and you can even grab a bottle of it to go.

We were recommended this place by numerous locals while here in town for a wedding and they were spot on!
The food was incredibly flavorful, especially the salad dressings. I got the cool runnings and everything on the plate was super tasty and great portion sizes. We ended up loving the hot sauce so much we also got 2 bottles to go.
Service was very prompt and friendly as well. We got their around 6 on a Saturday and it quickly got busy but they handled it very well.
Highly recommend.

After finally trying Nine Mile, I really don’t understand all the hype this restaurant gets. The trout entree I got was decent but not amazing, I’d give it a 7/10 … maybe. Both the cocktail and the desert sounded great on paper but were actually terrible. Service was ok but a little slow. Nice atmosphere but easily gets very loud when busy… no thank you. I’m sure they have some good things on the menu, but I wasn’t impressed & wont be returning.

We loved all of our food at Nine Mile. It has a fun atmosphere with food descriptions only that will make you keep coming back to try more. We don’t have too many Caribbean style restaurants where we live, so the flavors and combinations felt unique and fresh. The cook on everything was to perfection and it would be a place we would come back to again and again. The locals seemed to love it as it was super busy and there were plenty of people willing to wait a half hour to an hour to get in.

as a spot that doesn’t take reservations, coming to grab a spot on an amateur holiday during Billy tour felt pretty daunting but it was a quick 45 minute wait with plenty of wandering to do whilst passing that time. It was worth every moment! It was such an incredible meal. I’m telling everyone.
