FYI – valet is $5! I wasn’t familiar with the area so I decided to pay the 5 bucks for peace of mind and convenience. Not a big deal but just caught off guard for having to pay for a cafe type parking lot.
Anyway, big place, large indoor and outdoor seating. More geared towards smaller group size. I thought coffee menu was okay. Tons of sweets to choose from. But it felt a little too factory for me and not homemade-vibes. I appreciate the wide variety of pastry and cake selection but sometimes less is more.
I got the pumpkin cheesecake and I thought it was okay. Not over the top good but not bad either. My coffee drink was the same.
Overall I thought for place was average good.

Have never been to this Urth Cafe. I chose to come to this one for valentines day because of the reviews… the food and drinks were amazing, but the cashier was horrible. Her name is KAREN H. When asked to let the people in the back know about my husband’s allergy, she slapped an allergy warning on the counter top as if we had not already seen this warning on the menu that we were already looking at. I just wanted to make it clear, to have the baristas RINSE OFF before cross contaminating….a very simple thing to do, which is for her to just let them know…. in which they’re supposed to be rinsing the frother before each customer anyways for machine maintenance. She could have given great customer service by simply saying…”ok of course no worries let me double check,” or “for sure ill let them know,” instead she chose to roll her eyes or make a frown as if the little behaviors she was doing wasn’t noticeable. To the supervisor/ manager, please consider putting this worker in the back…she has no social or customer service skills, and will definitely hurt your company. Again, food is great and amazing, this worker is NOT IT.

I’ve tried this place 3 times and all three times I’ve had a great experience. Their matcha latte with oatmilk is delicious! I had their Spanish latte and it did not disappoint either, good balance of sweetness. For food I’ve had their Mexican omelet which is pictured with bread and salad. The dish was a good balance, I wasn’t overly full. The other time I went I got their pistachio chocolate pancakes, it was a hit! A little sweeter than I expected but I split it with a friend so eating half of it was great the whole thing would of been too much. The price might be a little high but for the quality its worth it. Going with friends is good you can get variety of dishes and split it and youll have a great feast! The outdoor patio seating is the best and going in the morning between 8-9am is perfect as it’s not packed and you can still find parking outside. They do charge $5 valet inside. The street parking most times is horrible that’s the only downside to this place otherwise the food and atmosphere is great.

Like most spots in LA, it’s a bit pricey and even the parking is charged. Still, the wide variety of healthy options makes it worth a visit. The bakery was outstanding, I couldn’t resist the croissants, and they were absolutely delicious!

First, I want to say that the food here is DELICIOUS! I had a breakfast panini with fruit and a coffee. I enjoyed all the food and really liked the area they had to sit down.
Sadly, I think this restaurant is OUT of the budget/unaffordable for most people in LA. My single meal was $29 and that does not include the tip or the $5 valet parking they require in order to park. That would have brought my meal closer to $40 for a single person. If you have a family of 4 or are a group of friends, your meal will easily be over $120+ and that is unacceptable for a cafe.
Again, the food was great but I will not be returning due to costs. If you can afford it, then I highly recommend it.

Visiting my friend in Redondo beach, this was our go to breakfast! A very extensive menu and delicious lattes. The açaí for me was a personal favorite and go to.

Possibly the finest latte I’ve had. I tried their strong and mild strength on the hot spanish latte (I had to have two, it was just that good) and their tuna sandwich. You can ask for a whole or half of the sandwich but I believe both come with a salad. My friend asked for a matcha and a hazelnut chocolate cake. The matcha was bright green and of great quality, I even bought a pack of tea to take home. We both agree that everything we tried is a 10/10 all staff was kind and smiley, sometimes going out of their way to meet customer requests, like finding an outlet to plug my phone into or bringing a matcha paquet from the back despite the big line behind me Overall I recomend it, hope that helps!
