Highlights – slow service, long wait for food; this place was just ok. A bit of a wait on a Saturday evening after sitting at the bar area. Took awhile to be greeted and have our food and beverage orders taken. The food was overall good (think greasy cheesiness); got the pepperoni mellow rollz which were a good option after being told the spinach dip had run out that night. Also got the Great White pizza, which satisfied the hunger. Service was much not great, not sure if they were understaffed. It was a steady evening with customers, but not overly packed indoor and outdoor. I’d probably go somewhere else but good location.

I would have left 4 stars if…. the expensive gluten free brownie wasn’t served ice cold and in its packaging. Nina brought it out and used an existing plate on the table, then walked away. The service wasn’t the best as we ran out of drinks multiple times. We also had to wait twenty minutes just for her to bring the check.
The food is absolutely amazing. I had the gluten free pizza and a small house salad, My husband had a hogie with tots, and daughter the boneless wings.

Very chill restaurant, it’s just like the name implies. Cool staff, friendly, respectful, fast as possible. I’ve been there both BUSY and s l o w, and the move expeditiously either way. Kid friendly relaxed atmosphere. Old and young alike will enjoy it! Great for a small informal meeting or a regular date night.

Hands down the Best mellow mushroom pizza I ever had.. tried: new taco, super pep, white rabbit, great white, magic mystery, and cosmic karma .. hats off to the cooks! Looked perfect! Service was great! White rabbit was probably favorite.. so much flavor. The super pep was outstanding… Highly recommend this place ! Best mellow mushroom and probably best pizza I have had in Birmingham. Downtown area parking sucks. Another plus, is the wheel chair accessible for this store..Birmingham is terrible for accessibility.

This place is great! Dog-friendly, covered patio (that even stays dry when it rains), and a chill vibe overall. Food was great, service was great. Everything was casual but quality, and they had a pretty decent selection of options for different dietary asks. Our server was incredibly friendly and even brought a cup of water for our pup. We will definitely go back next time we are in town.
My only feedback would be to get the BE-Hive pepperoni as a topping option, for vegetarians.

The pizza and wings were amazing, and so was our server, Kaleb. Incredibly helpful server that was also very relatable.
Also, the lady complaining about the atmosphere before this review is crazy. Bringing your kids into a weed themed restaurant and complaining about it is so stupid and entitled. I apologize on behalf of customers, yall are entitled to play whatever music you want and I hope her rude self does not come back until she learns how to treat others

Vau! Not a first time in this chain, but this one is amazing! First of all it is the center of the Birmingham, great position. A lot of space inside and outside. I think you should never go with anything else than pizza, but I am biased. I got Great White and it was just so delicious that you could feel and taste every single cheese component separately and fresh basil with tomatoes on top. My taste buds had a great dance with dough and crust perfectly greasy and crunchy just enough. They do have great selection of beers and desserts as well. Just come and enjoy with great service and atmosphere.

Some of the food arrived cold. Some of the buns were frozen. The plates felt as if they were in the refrigerator and to be clear we ordered hot hoagies and burger. The only thing piping hot was the pizza. The waiter was very kind and apologized but the managers response was *what do you want me to do* . On top of this none of the women’s bathroom stalls had toilet paper and there was a change of clothes on the floor and empty liquor bottles in the bathroom. There were only 6 tables with customers so they were not busy. As a long time mellow mushroom customer we are disappointed at this location. We travel state to state quite often and Mellow mushroom is a place we usually feel comfortable eating at but this location was a no for us. What’s sad is this was the first time for some of our family so their first impression was not a great one.
