We went today for the $1 dollar oysters and they were packed!
We didn’t make a reservation, but they put us on the waiting list and we barely had to wait. Once we got there after receiving the text that our table was ready, we were sat right away.
Despite that fact of the packed restaurant, that didn’t stop our server to make an excellent job. She came right after we sat, took our oyster and drinks order and it came right away. The oysters were perfect size! Not too small not too big. One thing we wished was that they had hot sauce on the table like the salt and pepper and ketchup. Our server, I believe her name was Emily, checked on us appropriately; the right amount of time.
After taking our dinner order, we didn’t have to wait too long for our dishes to be on our table. They came warm and very well presented. Most importantly, our dinner was delightful delicious!
We will definitely go back!
PS pics are from different nights.
We go in and specifically ask to sit where we can hear the singer for the night. (The only reason we went.) The hostess sits us downstairs next to the bar. When the waitress comes over after we had waited 15 minutes, we ask where the singer is, she directs us upstairs. No big deal, just a misunderstanding. After waiting for a hostess that was busy elsewhere a waitress sat us outside. We waited for 20 minutes before we finally got our waitress. She brings waters and takes a drink order. Comes back and the lime in my corona and my fiancés drink were both yellow. Fine, they seem busy. They bring out the appetizer (fried calamari) and start to pick. She realized we don’t have plates and brought over two that were definitely used or not washed. No big deal, we will just pick off the plate. Entrees come out and my first fork into my entree there was a big bug right in the food and fork. Keep in mind this plate hadn’t been on the table for more than 30 seconds. As im waiting to get the attention of someone we notice the appetizer had bugs in it as well. At this point I’m aggravated, get the check and leave. But even after pointing this out there really wasn’t much alarm. I really don’t know how people aren’t getting sick here because clearly, it’s not clean.
