A hole in the wall, but more of a hole in one. We stopped in at Casa Sanchez on Anaheim and Termino to grab a quick lunch. They’ve been around and doing it right here for five decades now. They must be doing something right. Serving up a quick bite whether you’re on the go or you just want to sit for a minute. The food is always delicious and the service is friendly. We enjoyed a flautas plate, a 2 taco cheese enchilada combination and a big carne asada wet burrito – one of the best! We left very satisfied and stuffed.

Missing a Sonora Style Wet Burrito since I moved out of Long Beach in 2006. Sorry to hear of the fire. Hopefully you can open back up better than ever or enjoy your success and kick back and relax!

Bean & cheese burrito with potato are my favorite. It’s delicious. And they’re huge.

Lots of parking. Inside and outside seating area.

Fresh homemade chips and their salsa is so tasty.

The employees are really nice.

You have to try The pineapple & spinach water

This place is a local legend. I don’t know about the “biggest burritos in town” as you can tell in the photos but for the price it’s a good deal. Very flavorful and the line during lunch time is a testament to that.

They can do better putting everything into disposable packaging though; styrofoam plate, plastic salsa cups all put into a plastic bag. For dine-ins they should give it to you on a proper plate and reduce the waste. I’m not sure why the cashier even bothers to ask if the order is for takeaway.

Aside from the homeless dudes taking a bath in the bathroom I recommend giving this place a go.

I’ve driven past this place so many times and finally stopped, so glad I did! It’s the quintessential local restaurant with a walk up window and seating inside or on the patio. The quesatacos birria were amazing, I definitely chowed down all the consommé. They come with chips that weren’t my favorite, but the salsa verde was really good. And the price was right, I’ll be back!

Food is cooked fresh to order. The food tastes okay, nothing to astounding. It could use more flavor. The salsa both green and red were very bland and didn’t help add any flavor to the food. We ordered a carne asada burrito (it was okay I guess, not our favorite) and we also ordered a carne asada quesadilla (it was big, it comes in a pizza box) that tastes a little better than the burrito because it had Mexican crema and guacamole inside. Our total came out to $22 and some change. I’ve had much better Mexican food elsewhere.
Next I’d like to address the customer service! Not so good. We weren’t greeted with a hello or anything and the tone of voice of the cashier lacked compassion. I mean at least fake it! My goodness. She was also on her personal cell phone. Professionalism goes a long way! We have been coming here for years about 9 years to be exact and it’s just not the same.

We’ve been going here since the 80’s… love the food. It’s run down and needs a face lift. But the food stays the same. BEST WET NACHOS ever!!!

I ordered the chille relleno and it was pretty good, very tasty sauce, freshly made chips with red and green salsa. Looks like this place was a drive-in diner from the Happy Days era.. Plenty of parking, prices are reasonable.
