The food was ok. Apparently a scratch kitchen, but their beer cheese soup tasted astoundingly processed. Beef on weck poutine had great flavor, but wasn’t keen on the “fries” each being a quarter of a potato. Poutine is not a food you should have to cut 20 times.
Just overall pretty lackluster.
Drink was strong.
Does not serve beer flights.
lackluster decor.
On a positive note, the service inside the store was actually very good, the employees were kind and helpful when I came to pick up my order. The store also looked clean and well-kept. Unfortunately, the food itself fell far short of expectations, and I can’t recommend this location based on my experience.
To start, I had the “Kiss My Bluegrass” beer and my wife had the “Spring Fling” beer. My beer was okay but my wife enjoyed her beer. For the second round, I had the “Spring Fling” and I liked it better than the “Kiss My Bluegrass”
For the appetizer, we had the Buffalo Mozzarella. We thought it would be more cheesy but we thought it was “store-bought” mozzarella sticks.
For the main course, we had Buffalo wings with garlic parmesan seasoning. Also, we had the Siracha Chicken Club pizza. We both liked the pizza and wings. Although, the siracha was lacking in the pizza.
The service was just okay, we both felt that the servers didn’t want to be there.
On our second visit, the server was pretty busy & unable to get our orders in for a bit & said she didn’t know certain things about menu items when we asked about how some things came prepared or options for some substitutes, so we stayed with some things we knew. We tried the garlic bread this time and ordered two of the beer battered fish and the beef on weck. The beer battered fish was definitely the favorite from both visits. The food, no doubt, is good and consistent and comes out in a timely manner. You can tell the owner Jimmy is passionate about his restaurant as he takes the time to check in on each table and wants to make sure that any problems are addressed so he can make it right if needed. The atmosphere is laid back, relaxed, and family-friendly. The food is fresh and well plated. There is a good variety of choices. You can sit at the bar to watch a game or sit comfortably at a table not too close to other tables, which was nice so you don’t have to worry about bumping into other patrons’ chairs. There are taller tables and shorter tables available, so it suits a variety of size parties and comfort. This is a regular place for my family members as I was only here a short time, but I will make this place a go-to every time. Give it a try and enjoy!
