This was one of the best dinners I’ve had in a while! I ordered the burger with an egg on top, and the Parmesan fries, SO had pasta bolognese, both were amazing! We will certainly be back again!

My favorite item was the garlic bread appetizer.
Definitely a good place for an above average lunch or dinner. Did not get to try their brunch which looks amazing.
Service was pretty good, they are busy so it’s not very often the servers come by but by all means it was good. They were very friendly.
Food was not mind blowing. My pork seemed too dry or overcooked a bit but not by munch.
The sides were the second best part for me.
Would return to try brunch but not lunch or dinner.

Great spot for farm to table dining experience for foodies!
We had our best dining experience here tonight on a Wednesday night. Food was spot on and the service from Diana V was impeccable.
This place is usually quite busy and favorable but the attention from waitstaff has been lacking lately. I was reluctant to recommend the restaurant for some time as a result. I’m happy to say that tonight’s service has completely changed my mind.
Short ribs and mushrooms both were cooked to perfection but this place never disappoint with the quality of the food.

I will preface this by saying that this review is specifically related to ordering takeout/delivery. I’ve eaten at the restaurant before and found the food and service to be great, especially their carbonara. I was craving that carbonara tonight, and while I thought $25 was a bit much for a plate of pasta, I remember how big the serving was at the restaurant and was looking forward to it. What got delivered to my home feels like a joke. Charging $25 for a third of the portion served in the restaurant is frankly shameless and a rip off. I’m extremely disappointed and won’t be ordering again.

I just had take out again for the second time this week. The filet was the worst cut of meat I have ever had. Potatoes with bacon bits were all burnt. The bread with dipping sauce was burnt as well. The only item I could eat was the side salad. We order from there so often! Food has gone down hill! It used to be good but not anymore. I called to let them know and they would not even offer a $10 gift card. Just wasted $100. Feeding it to my raccoons for dinner. They just lost really good customers. Hostess wouldn’t even give me the time of day when I called to let them know! How sad! I will never go back there again!

It has been a while since we dined in at Butcher’s & Bakers as we don’t have a lot of opportunity to get out for dinner. Today we went and received excellent service from Matt at the bar. He was friendly, knowledgeable & skilled with his drink service (I’m an IPA nerd/snob and he can talk the talk and walk the walk) as well as making fantastic suggestions in regards to our food. The meatballs and garlic bread were better than we remember (and we thought they were great before!). The short rib entree was amazing. And by far, the bread pudding was the best of the best! Matt’s suggestion of having a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream (from local craft ice cream spot Honeycone in Chester) should just be how it comes on the menu. This introduction to Honeycone will have us getting it everytime we come back and we want to see their spot in Chester too. The ice cream was that good! So glad we came back and look forward to going again! A+

Nice little spot for Sunday brunch. I’m not a drinker but appears to be good hangout for mimosa. I had steak frites it was NY Strip with fries, steak was generous portion and tender. My son had breakfast egg sandwich which he enjoyed, and we also did French toast. Returned again for dinner. House made bread was very good, along with meatballs app, entrees we had a burger then filets with mashed potatoes, root vegetables, & wild mushrooms on separate orders. Dessert was very good Warm Brownie Sundae

Shame we had such a terrible experience that was so contrast to the reviews that brought us in! We thought this would be a great brunch spot to catch up with friends and the place looked like it would deliver; sadly we felt our server was rude, antsy, and service was rushed! Starting with trying to rush our drink order, which when you say “I’ll give you guys a couple minutes to look it over and decide.” And come back in under 90 seconds, that’s not enough time… this anxious and rushed service continued they added unnecessary pressure to our dining experience, cutting us off mid sentence and then an attitude as if we were the problem. We could empathize if they were busy but not every table was sat for the entirety of our meal; there was literally no need to even flip our table as it was so slow. But once our orders were in our food just wasn’t very tasty. It looked better than it tasted. And then the constant interpolations! It was hard to enjoy and be settled. We thought our waitress may have been at the end of her shift and needed us to pay or collect her tip but she was there for the remainder while we sat and chatted since they needed to close our ticket. I’d give more stars to maybe a 3 for the food but my party didn’t like a thing. Fries were good. Steak ordered medium was over. Then the pacing back and forth to try to usher us out felt so rude. If people are bored at work or under some busy body management , it’s hard to know but they should know it really hurts their impressions of their business. The restaurant was never sat more than 1/3rd. There was no need for all of that. Shine some cutlery if you’re bored ♂️ really disappointing to think we found a great spot with over 1000 positive reviews only to be met with such lack luster food and an impatient employee. If you choose to go here I hope you have a better experience and service than they gave us!

We had a wonderful Saturday brunch at Butchers and Bakers with our family. The oysters were fresh and delicious, and the mimosa flights and cocktails added a fun, flavorful touch to our meal. The chicken and waffles were perfectly crispy, the steak frites with egg were cooked to perfection and paired with an amazing sauce, and the French toast—reminiscent of churros—was a standout. Food was okay.
I had smashed burger but the beef was dry. It wasn’t even overcooked dry. To me it felt like the beef patty was prepared a long time ago and was left in the fridge. Sauce was pretty tasty though, I only wish if it was a little tiny bit juicy.
Brussel sprouts smelled as if they were fried in engine oil, never have I ever smelled Brussels sprouts like that. They still tasted okay, but the smell was a different story.
Mac and Cheese was the best out of the other two things I ordered.
Service was not bad, if I were to rate the service I would give it 7/10. Only because the drink we had ordered we never got it and when I told the waiter that we never got it, he didn’t make an attempt to get it for us To go or even apologize that we never got it. We had ordered half way through our meals and I brought up the drink when I went up to the guy to pay.
Overall, nice atmosphere, food and service need a little tiny bit of refinement. Don’t let this my discourage you, I would definitely go back to try other things. There has to be something that they do so good and I just haven’t discovered it yet.
