The food was outstanding — beautifully presented, full of flavor, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Every dish was prepared perfectly, and the menu offers a great balance of classic Italian favorites and elevated options.
A special mention to Alex, our waiter, who truly made the evening exceptional. His service was professional, attentive, and personable, and he was very knowledgeable about the menu. Alex provided great recommendations, anticipated our needs, and ensured everything was perfectly timed without ever feeling rushed. His attention to detail and genuine hospitality really elevated the entire experience.
I would absolutely return and highly recommend it — especially if you have the pleasure of being served by Alex.
I will definitely enjoy my return to David’s, as would anyone that visits for the first time.
Thank you to all we were fortunate to interact with, you are the best.
We started with an espresso martini for me, which our waiter asked if I wanted it dark or creamy (with or without Baileys…I appreciated this). My partner got a Buffalo Trace Old Fashioned (ended up having 2 for him).
Then got the table side Caesar salad for 2. There is nothing like homemade Caesar dressing! *Note- this does have raw egg yolk in it*
Then shared a 16oz Dry aged ribeye – medium rare,
Half portion of their homemade spicy lobster pasta and asparagus. We also got a side of their horseradish, port wine and Bernaise sauce to try with the steak. I personally liked the horseradish with the port wine (combined) on it.
For desert we got their strawberry basil creme brûlée and those flavors….just perfection.
Our total bill was $275 and we took home half of our steak and asparagus (which made for an amazing omelette this morning). For an upscale steakhouse, this ranks in the upper end of the list for us. We’ve been to quite a few, including the famous Berns in Tampa. Well done Davios!
The restaurant itself is beautiful — well lit, modern, and with a great waterfront view. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, which made a solid first impression walking in.
The food, honestly, was alright. Not bad, but not anything that stood out for the price point or the reputation. My steak also came out undercooked. When I politely asked to have it sent back, our server Sergio responded by calling me “buddy” in a way that felt dismissive and rude. It wasn’t what he said, it was how he said it, and it definitely rubbed me the wrong way.
To the restaurant’s credit, they handled it professionally on the back end and removed the steak from the bill, which I appreciated. Mistakes happen — it’s the service response that really matters.
Davio’s has a great atmosphere, nice views, and a polished look, but the food was just okay and the service interaction took away from what could have been a much better experience.
