Geronimo Tequila Bar & Southwest Grill in Fairfield, CT is one of those places that gets the full experience right: vibe, service, and food.
The atmosphere is awesome—warm, rustic, and “Southwest” in a way that feels intentional, not cheesy. It’s the kind of spot that works for a fun night out, a date, or just grabbing dinner when you want something that feels elevated.
The staff was also a standout: friendly, genuinely helpful, and fast without feeling rushed. They were on top of everything.
And the food… honestly, that’s what steals the show. The tableside guacamole and salsa are a must—fresh, flavorful, and it adds a cool little “event” to the meal. Everything we had felt gourmet for Mexican cuisine, like real care went into ingredients and execution.
I’m vegetarian, and I was pumped about how many options there were that didn’t feel like an afterthought. The flavors were bold, the ingredients tasted fresh and high quality, and it just hit that sweet spot of “comfort food” but done right.
If you’re looking for Mexican/Southwest food in Fairfield, this is one of the best spots around. I’ll definitely be back.

The food was delicious. I tried cactus for the first time and it had a very unique taste. The waiter was very enthusiastic, and the dining atmosphere and experience were both great. So I give it a thumbs up. If I have the chance, I will definitely come again.

This visit Carnitas nachos, tortilla soup, Mexican street corn and braised short ribs found their way to our table. All delicious. And guess what?? They just opened a location in Delray Beach. Home away from home!

I came in on Friday night looking for a new place to some to and I had such an amazing experience here! The desserts were absolutely incredible!!! Everything tasted fresh, were beautifully presented, and perfectly balanced. The crepes were delicious and the banana dessert with ice cream was just as good. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the flavor and the presentation.
What really made the visit stand out was our waitress, Taylor. She was so friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcomed from the moment we sat down. Her service made the whole experience even better.

Absolutely LOVE Geronimos!! I’ve been coming here for years & the chicken nachos are a must! The margaritas are perfect & the chicken tinga burrito is delish! Always good, no matter the day/time or if it’s take out!

Wonderful experience! I tried this place for the first time on Saturday night and both the service and the food were absolutely amazing. From the start, Taylor made the experience even better with her exceptional hospitality and kindness. James was also fantastic. I had the birria tacos and my dad had the carne asada tacos, and they were phenomenal. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this place!

Geronimo deserves five stars! My family and I came here for lunch today and were not disappointed!! First, I want to mention that the decor is stunning and feels very rustic but chic. Next, I want to comment on the service. Dave was a phenomenal server and checked on us continually. He was very personable, asked us about ourselves, and took great care of us. The manager also stopped by our table to make sure all was well and left us with huge smiles. My five family members and I each enjoyed our meals and drinks so much we left with full bellies and no room for dessert. I actually did not get a chance to tell them but we were actually celebrating my parents 33rd anniversary so thank you to everyone at Geronimos for making my parents’ big day so special. Although we were only here for the weekend they made the trip worth it. Thanks again!!

Two people for dinner….. both of our drinks $17/each and both mostly ice….. Guacamole…… 1 order of Tacos….. after the tip we’re literally paying over $95.00.
Again….. 2 drinks, Guacamole, 3 Tacos…. $95 ? Are you serious?

My friends and I were looking to have a drink and a good time coming from a previous restaurant where we had really good service, unlike this place. However, when ordering a drink my friend who recently turned 21 was denied service. They then proceeded to tell us, they would serve 3/4 of us. When asked to speak to the manager, a women came to the table, we were under the impression she was the manager. However we quickly found out she wasn’t the manager and was just the other bartender and was completely disgraceful. We then proceeded to ask for manager…who never came to the table. Having been a previous customers I can confidently say I am completely unsatisfied with the service and will never ben returning. Not to mention the food isn’t all that.
