I reached out to customer service the same day as the event, and it’s now been two weeks with no follow‑up or attempt to resolve the issue. At this point, it feels like a poor effort to reconcile the situation, which is disappointing (February 2026.)
((This is my favorite place in boise-where i live. The staff is incredible. The lady that checks out up in boise is so friendly and has such great customer service and always consistent.))
A huge part of that is thanks to Rachelle, who is hands-down the best operator I’ve ever seen. She personally greets guests, remembers regulars by name, and sets the tone for the entire team. You can tell she truly cares about the customers and the experience. The staff is upbeat and friendly, and the place is always clean and organized.
If you want great food and great service, this Twin Falls Cafe Rio is the one to go to.
I’ve been a DoorDasher for a long time, and this was hands-down one of the most disrespectful experiences I’ve had at a restaurant. I arrived at 9:00 PM for an order that was supposed to be ready in 5 minutes. The girl at the front told me I was “the next order up,” but instead of finishing the delivery, the staff spent the next 10 minutes ignoring the digital orders to prioritize 6 people who walked in behind me.
The real issue is the management. When the front-end worker finally told her manager that I was still waiting and needed the food, I heard him say, “I don’t care—he can wait or they can get a refund.”
This is exactly why digital orders and deliveries are always late at this location. Management openly admits they don’t care about the customer’s time or the driver’s livelihood. We don’t get paid to stand around while managers have power trips. I unassigned the order and left. If you want your food on time—or even at all—order from a place that actually respects its customers and the people delivering to them.
I visited this Cafe Rio tonight and was completely blown away by the lack of professionalism. While the line was about six people deep, I noticed a delivery driver (DoorDash/Uber) waiting patiently near the front. By the time I made it to the register, that driver was still waiting.
What happened next was unacceptable. A female employee went to a male staff member (who appeared to be a manager or supervisor) to let him know the driver was still waiting for the order. He responded, loud enough for me and other customers to hear: “I don’t care, he can just wait or they can get a refund.”
Unsurprisingly, the driver overheard this and walked out empty-handed. I don’t blame him.
It is incredibly ignorant to speak that way in front of a lobby full of customers. It shows a complete lack of regard for:
The Delivery Driver, who is just trying to do their job.
The Online Customer, who already paid for their meal and is now stuck with a massive delay because of this man’s ego.
The In-Store Customers, who now see exactly how little this management cares about service.
I’ve ordered delivery from here before and it’s always late or incorrect—now I know why. They clearly treat online orders as “beneath” them. If this is the type of person Cafe Rio hires for leadership, I will no longer be supporting this business. Someone needs to teach this individual that “customer service” applies to every order, not just the ones he feels like making. Avoid this location.
