The food was good, especially the pizza and calzone. A few slices of the pizza were a bit overcooked, but overall it still tasted great. The calzone was delicious, and the lunch special was a really good deal — we were able to split two small salads between two kids and three adults, which worked out perfectly.
I did hear another customer mention their wings were soggy, though I didn’t try them myself. The staff addressed the issue right away, which I appreciated. They were attentive, kind, and very responsive.
Overall, we would come back again — especially if the pizza is cooked a little more carefully next time. My kids enjoyed everything, and we had a good experience.

Best. Pizza. Ever. We ordered the meat lover’s pizza and a side of the buffalo wings. The pizza was absolutely delicious; the toppings included pepperoni, meatballs, and sausage, and all three were tasty. Buffalo wings were boneless and the buffalo sauce wasn’t too spicy nor vinegary. Service was quick and excellent; quantity and quality made the price worth it. Will be coming here again when in the mood for pizza!

As a huge pizza lover, I had seen this place pop up on my TikTok. It was sold as one of the most delicious pizzas in San Antonio. With a really good crust. I tried the meat lovers large pizza. It was almost $30. And I’m sorry but this pizza was not worth that. Was it horrible? No. It was just OK. Which OK isn’t what you want from such an expensive Pizza. But honestly the crust was nothing impressive, it tasted like wood fired pizza crust. Not much flavor to be honest beyond the burnt parts. Beyond that there was nothing particularly impressive about the sauce, cheeses or the toppings. The restaurant is pretty nice, but the wood fire scent is very strong so staying to eat there might be uncomfortable if you don’t care for the smell. But there’s enough seating for small groups. Beyond that, it’s not really a place to hang out. Just take your pizza and go. But yeah I don’t know if I’d make the trip out here again. The service here was also just ok, nothing stellar or worthy of note. But considering there isn’t many other pizza places close to this area, I’m sure people around there will be well served by Lou’s.

Everything was delicious! Visiting from out of town. Saw some videos on tiktok and I’m glad we stopped here out of all places for pizza. We got the Lou Special I think is what it was and it was perfect for 3 of us. Shared the salad and pizza with two drinks. Whenever we come to SA we will come here for pizza!

The aroma of wood fire burning was apparent walking toward the building through the parking lot (bonus). Looking inside the wide open kitchen, there’s a rather “unconventional” looking wood fired oven with a giant turntable. We ordered the garlic cheesy bread, which was extremely flavorful. Though I did need to take the time to dab off the noticeable grease/butter layer on top after the first bite. We then dug into the “Meat Lovers” pie, with added mushrooms and olives. And also the “Johnny Boy” pie. Both had great flavor, fresh toppings, and the crust had the perfect wood fire char. Which left me curious about the soft and flimsy undercarriage in the middle area of both pies. They were both also a little greasier than I like. The ambiance was nice for a small place. Cool wall art and a couple of TV’s quietly tuned into sporting events. The staff was friendly, attentive, and very helpful to a small group that were obvious first timers. The price is definitely higher than average for non-chain pizza restaurants, but not outragious. The food would be a 4/5 for me, just because I need stability in my wood fired undercarriage, and I have a thing for extra grease. But the staff and relaxed ambiance push them over the line to a 5/5. I’ll definitely be back. Even if I do have to dab it and fold it.

I stopped by to grab something quick. Everything they make is made to order so my Supreme Calzone hold the japs took about 15 minutes but the wait was worth it.
Probably the best calzone I’ve ever had. I will be going back soon. Very nice staff, this is a very casual place, mostly does takeout business. Just a few tables.

Ordered a Mediterranean salad,
Found a sticker from the cucumber in my salad which will mean the cucumbers, lettuce and other parts of the salad were probably not washed. Lettuce tasted like it wasn’t washed and just came out of a bag right into a plastic container.. had a weird lingering bitter chemical taste ….The red onions were slimy which means that those onion were from an older date, and were thrown out which they should have been thrown out for a freshly cut set of red onions.
Spent 50$ for a pizza and salad,
Very disappointed in the time that was not taken for such a simple meal. If the time was taken seriously with prepping the food. We’ve ordered from this place a couple times, the food has been better than most places we have visited in the San Antonio. But I think this is going to be stricken off for going back…
Very disappointed for a simple meal and simple prep was neglected. Such simple steps could be taken in order to avoid problems like this would make a whole difference in the quality of the meal.

This place was so good. We found them on TikTok and once we heard the crust… it was over. Pizza… great! Topping…. Fresh! Service…. Top notch. We will be back on Friday to taste more of their great pizza. If you go, don’t forget the cookie.

DUDE. What the heck! BEST PIZZA WE’VE EVER HAD. We ordered three pizzas and each one was insane. So delicious. Meat lovers was the best. And the two guys behind the counter were so friendly and courteous. They truly cared that we had a great experience! That kind of passion and work ethic is rare. We are grateful! They made our night excellent. After we finished eating, my wife and kids rolled me out of Lou’s and back to the car. I WAS STUFFED. You need to try this place TODAY.
