I visited this location on Sunday, March 8th, 2026, early in the morning—well before the church crowd or any real rush. I came in expecting the usual experience I’ve had here over the years, but unfortunately today was the complete opposite.

When I politely asked the host about sitting in a booth, I was denied in a very snobby tone and told it was “COMMON COURTESY,” as if I was somehow being rude just for asking. The way it was said felt very dismissive and disrespectful.

After leaving, I called the restaurant hoping to speak with a manager to calmly explain what happened. The person who answered the phone sounded like the same host. When I asked for a manager, I heard what sounded like a smirk or laugh, and then the call was hung up on.

I called back again, and this time someone claiming to be the manager answered. After explaining the situation and even sharing that I was already dealing with some personal mental stress, there was little to no empathy. Instead, the conversation quickly became argumentative. The tone became loud and aggressive, and I was ultimately hung up on again.

I’ve been coming to this place for years with family, friends, and sometimes by myself, but today’s experience ended that streak. No one expects perfection, but basic respect and kindness should always be part of customer service.

After leaving, I prayed, still hungry and honestly a bit confused by how I was treated. Thankfully I ended up trying another breakfast spot nearby called Wooden Spoon (1st time too) the hosts welcomed me warmly, sat me without hesitation, and treated me like a human being. The food and coffee were a treat after what I just experienced, but more importantly the hospitality reminded me that genuine kindness still exists.

FYI, I work in customer service myself. I know firsthand how important it is to treat people with dignity. Customers aren’t just transaction, they’re human beings first.

A brand isn’t made by its name alone! It’s built by the character of the people who represent it and the experiences they create for others. Unfortunately, based on today’s experience, I can’t recommend this company anymore. Don’t let anyone bring you down even if they gang up on you! You mean something and are important regardless if their mannerism is lousy.

I am here on work and always look for healthy options when I stumbled upon First Watch. I was greeted immediately and got a seat at 1230 pm on a Friday as they do close at 2:30 pm. The restaurant is clean and cozy with a farmhouse decor, giving life on the farm vibes. I started with the green juice which was tasty and refreshing. I had a wrap from the “healthier side” of the menu which was delicious and only 500 calories. The wrap had turkey, egg whites and fresh mushrooms which was surprisingly flavorful and a side of mixed fruit. I recommend this as a place that has something for everyone when looking for brunch!

Had a great breakfast at First Watch in Tampa! The General Manager John comped my meal with their “Make My Day Brighter” program which was such a nice surprise.

I’m celebrating my bachelorette weekend, and this was the perfect way to kick things off. I had the blueberry pancakes, eggs, and chicken apple sausage and everything was really good. The pancakes were fluffy, the eggs were just right, and the sausage had a nice flavor.

Service was great, everyone was friendly and on top of things. The coffee was hot and tasty and they kept it coming.

Overall it was such a nice experience. Big thanks to John and the team for starting my day off right!

My husband and I had brunch at the Riverview location on my birthday a few days ago. Hunter took most excellent care of us. He has a great personality. Our food was amazing!!! Hubby got a waffle with chicken sausage and eggs, and I had the seasonal brisket and bacon biscuit with cheesy grits. You need to get in there just for that biscuit sandwich!! 10 out of 10!!! Oh, and the restaurant is very clean! So important!

Disappointed with this omelette. It was the thinnest omelette I’ve ever been served… it was more like a flat egg wrap than a fluffy omelette. The ingredients weren’t properly incorporated; they were just folded inside in a thin layer. On top of that, it was served cold. First and last time here.

I come to my local First Watch often. Today’s breakfast was a bit disappointing when I asked for a side of toast that cost me $2.59 and realized it wasn’t even a full slice of toast. See photos. Very disappointing.

First Watch is now a family staple! A must when I visit Tampa…I really hope there are more locations in Orlando, or Miami. The food was exceptional! My pallet rejoiced. It was very large servings I couldn’t finish. My friend or I.
We were full for the day. Our waitress Janessa was soooo attentive, and knowledgeable. You must try the purple haze juice

I took my granddaughter out to brunch on a day off from school. We walked in at 1:45 PM. The restaurant was mostly empty and we had a very enjoyable meal. Our server, Peter was excellent. He made great food suggestions, and was very attentive to us. An absolutely wonderful experience! THANK YOU!

Beautiful day, great food and service at First Watch in Riverview! I ate half of my delicious sourdough steak & egg sandwich – saving the other half for later. Followed that up with their flavorful Fuji Apple Fizz.
