I went to an 18th birthday party for my nephew in a private room.
Our waiter was fantastic. He made sure that he took care of each and every one of us. The food was hot and delicious!
They did a great job of accommodating us on a Saturday night!

Over the weekend, met my girls and their friends for lunch at Chimi’s on Cherry Street.
The wife had a really outstanding beef quesadilla, and her friend had stellar carne asada street tacos.
I went with the enchiladas chile verde and came away very happy. Probably not the best in town (my opinion), but certainly in the top 3 or 4 to be sure.
Service was great, drinks were kept filled and I felt prices on the menu were very on point. Can’t say what the damages were because I had to leave before the check got there, but I suspect it was pretty reasonable for the quality of food we got.

We had Chimis cater our First Friday lunch and everything was great. The food was fresh and really good, and I loved that they offer delivery—it made things so much easier. We were very happy with the whole experience and will definitely use them again.

For time trying this restaurant. It was just an okay restaurant! The atmosphere and service were good and at the lunch hour I felt our server did a good job.

We greeted and given chips and salsa and then we ordered a side of yellow queso. Our options were yellow or white. My lunch partner had been here before and recommended the yellow. It wasn’t to my liking, I just didn’t care for it. I did manage to eat my fair share but it just seemed off.
And a small bowl was $7.99! Not with it in my opinion.

Looking through the loch menu I wanted something different and a chose the Wet Burrito with shredded chicken. It was a rather large burrito but I did manage to finish it. My objections to this meal was that is it was just warm enough to eat. I anticipated a temperature hot burrito and it fell way short of that. The overall flavor was good but it needed to be hotter.

My partner order a 3 Enchilada dinner which he described as delicious and almost too much to eat!

Overall it wasn’t a bad experience and if in the area again I’d give it another!

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Cherry Street location! The moment I arrived, I was promptly seated and treated with utmost kindness by the server and bartender. They made sure we were delighted with every dish we ordered.

The queso was a standout, bursting with flavor and proving to be one of the best quesos for its kind. The margarita I had was a house specialty, packed with a delightful kick and free from tasting like premix like I’ve encountered in other establishments. They offer all-day house margaritas for $5 on Mondays and happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The ambiance of the restaurant was a gem, adding to the overall experience of being in the heart of Cherry Street.

For my entree, I opted for the pollo con chorizo, which was an absolute delight. The flavors were bursting, and the dish was cooked to perfection.

I highly recommend stopping by this establishment and taking advantage of their drink time specials. During Saturday games, they offer 4$ beers, making it an ideal spot to enjoy a refreshing beverage while catching a basketball game.

Chimi’s on Cherry Street is great!! We can here on Saint Patrick’s day and the city was insane busy!! Chimi’s was beyond busy as well! We waited for about an hour for a table and then released they made a mistake on the wait list and we weren’t on it. We had a couple beers at the bar and everyone was super great over there. We ended up grab too close tables and then Ashley (Manager I think?) She waited on us and she was absolutely perfect! She was the champion of the night! Took a potential bad situation and quickly made it a great one for us! The food was so dang good too!! Live their salsa too!! Thanks Ashley!! You are the best!!!

Ambiance: A lot bigger inside than you’d think, minimal decor, with plenty of seating.

Service: Had a pleasant experience from the moment we walked it. Had no wait time and was able to order immediately. I ended up ordering the wrong thing and was able to get my replacement fast and without struggle.

Food: I initially ordered the chicken tostada but opted to change to the chicken taco salad, which was delicious, the perfect amount, and flavorful. I also tried the apple cider Margarita, which kind of fell short, though tasty I couldn’t tell it was apple cider flavored.

Nice place and pleasant servers. The sour cream chicken enchiladas were awesome. Don’t order yellow queso. It just doesn’t taste right. White queso was good.

I always have great food at Chimi’s. Their chips, queso, and salsa are the best ever! I ordered the taco salad. I’ve never tried it. I was really disappointed. There were large chunks of lettuce in it. Not shredded at all. The refried beans were like soup. They were so runny. This bad taco salad won’t stop me from coming back. I will not order it again, though. The service is spot on, and we were quickly seated. They are a lively staff and the restaurant has a fun atmosphere.

The pork belly tacos were the most delicious flavor combinations I’ve ever put in my mouth. We splurged on a large white queso, and had no regrets. I’ll be moving to the UK soon, and THIS will be the meal I will miss the most. I can barely stand to think of life without a Chimis nearby. Shout out to Juan, our waiter, for being the perfect blend of attentive and kind. This was a 10/10 dining experience.
