Oh boy..where to start! Upon my arrival there were five people waiting. Three were waiting for a takeout order and two waiting to order. I asked one gentleman how long he had been waiting to place his order and he said about fifteen minutes. He waited another 15 minutes before being able to order, which means I also waited fifteen minutes to order. We were told that they had to catch up with their orders before they could take ours. While waiting at the counter, I noticed trash under the counters that had not been swept up. Once I was able to order, the staff was friendly and my food came to the table within a reasonable time frame. The young man who brought my food to the table was apologetic and very sweet. I was told they had no dishes available because they didn’t have a dishwasher that night. Upon my arrival in the dining room, I noticed some very disturbing issues. The trash was overflowing excessively. The tables were dirty and some were not cleared. There was trash around some of the tables. I did not use the restroom. So I cannot comment on that. It was clear they did not have enough staff for this restaurant to function efficiently or properly. Cleanliness is of the utmost importance at a restaurant.
If I were the manager, I would have made a command decision to close the doors for at least an hour so our staff could clean the restaurant versus presenting it in that condition to the public. They clearly need to hire more staff, which I understand is a challenge in Pueblo.
This particular location had decent quick service, great outdoor seating and easy access. The downfalls were the staff and cleanliness. Both are most likely related to each other. It would be unfair to classify it as unfriendly but the employees just weren’t focused on customer service. Tables weren’t cleaned regularly. Condiments and tea were empty. Then when we asked the response was very nonchalant. It’s not bad it’s just eh. We’ll give them the benefit of doubt and perhaps we hit them on an off day.
We did come in and use three of them like a month later after that incident, but came back in to use the other one today and the manager Gal said we’ve already fixed your bowls last time you came in and I said yeah I know we had one more coupon because we got four and we’re gonna use it today plus buy more. We’re always in here. I’m not too sure why she would be saying anything anyways, but she was really rude and said I’m sorry you can’t use that until after January like what did it matter we got them you guys messed up in the first place and gave us them to use. Didn’t tell us there was a pacific timeframe. I just feel like this manager just might not let her job altogether. I’m not too sure why she was so rude about it either and she said it in front of other people that was waiting to order which was really unprofessional and very rude.
