Sweat Less Travel
You don’t have to be poor to eat here. The owners have one restaurant on each side of Kankakee. This is the one we frequent. The food is good, the owners know us and the service is always consistently excellent at the counter. This is a former Hardee’s and it spotlessly clean on the inside. If you want fast food, this is an excellent alternative to the national chains. The gyros are very good, and the beef sandwich is as good as you’ll get in the area. I only wish the inside were open later than 8 o’clock given our busy schedules.

This is a good to spot. Chicago dog special is a easy win every time. Good Italian beef and Italian sausage. Reasonable price and fast service.

I have to say this is by far one of the best restaurants in Kankakee county, they have almost everything, the food taste amazing you get so much for a good price. The employees were amazing as well very nice and helpful especially the one who took my order, I believe his name was Ramon if you haven’t tried Poor Boys Too you are missing out!!!!

Pricey but decent food. Wing dings are really good. Recently tried the gyro plate and wasn’t super impressed with the flavor but huge portion. Probably wouldn’t order it again though.

If you like lemon chicken rice soup this is the place to go! They also have delicious garlic fries. The prices are very reasonable the dining area is always clean and the waitstaff is very friendly. We love stopping at poor boy too!!
