We will not be back
I love the atmosphere here. The historic vibe and photos around the restaurant really makes it special.
What could be improved was the phone kept ringing during our visit and it was really annoying. No one answered it, the waitstaff and hostess kept ignoring it.
The place is clean and nicely decorated. Wait staff was attentive and engaging…friendly! A very enjoyable experience.
Get the French onion soup and the BEEF ON WICK 10/10!!!!
If you can, sit at the bar! Hopefully Phil the bartender working, the guy is a gem and will make you feel like your home if you’re visiting from outta town, outstanding guy!!!!
The rest of the staff is absolutely incredible and warm and welcoming!!!! Wish I had more time to hang around. I will definitely be back next time I’m in town!
Major shout out to Ellie who made this all possible and is the best of the best..PERIOD!!!!
Glen Park Tavern absolutely hits the spot—with hearty, comfort-food done right! We came in on a busy night but still had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The hostess and our server were both incredibly warm and welcoming. We were lucky enough to be seated in a cozy private spot tucked away by the windows—everything I was hoping for!
The turkey dinner was exactly what you’d want: generous portion, cooked perfectly, and with all the classic fixings of stuffing and mashed potatoes. I ordered the whitefish francais which was fantastic as well!
Glen Park Tavern is a local staple that’s clearly been around a long time for good reason! Can’t wait to come back!
We order and 40 minutes later our food arrives. My wife gets a fish fry and i get the chicken and banana pepper sandwich.
My wife eats half and i do the same. Neither of we’re pleased with the food, we both left most of our dinners. Never once were we asked how we were doing or if we needed anything. Our waitress was more interested in saying hi and hugging who i assume are regulars. This was more than a 2 hour “experience”. The host asked how everything was because we didn’t eat everything. When we said we weren’t happy with the dinner she say “ I’ve never heard anyone say that before” with such extinguishment. We told her it wasn’t very good and we were disappointed. Her response was “well… thank you for your patience”. I can only say wow. I don’t know what the draw is. Definitely a disappointment
