Came here for breakfast with a small group of friends and overall had a very “classic diner in the Keys” experience. Galley Grill is clearly all about big, hearty American breakfasts, and my table proved it — everyone ordered different egg dishes and all of them were happy with their meals. Portions were generous, plates came out hot, and it’s definitely the kind of place that knows its lane.

I’m vegan, so my options were limited, but the staff handled it kindly. I ordered the avocado toast, and shout-out where it’s due: the avocado was actually ripe, which is never a given, and the server took my request seriously. She even double-checked the bread labels for me, which I genuinely appreciated. That level of care goes a long way.

That said, the avocado toast itself was very basic — edible, but bland. The avocado and bread both lacked flavor, and I found myself reaching for salt… only to discover the table salt was completely congealed and unusable. Not a dealbreaker, just something worth noting if you’re not ordering from the main breakfast hits.

The space was busy and high-turnover, but decently clean, and I was pleasantly surprised by the bathrooms — clean, spacious, and wheelchair-friendly, which isn’t always the case in diner-style spots. One small annoyance: our table was next to a wait station, and servers/bus staff kept reaching over me to grab wet sani rags while I was eating. Totally understandable during a rush, but not the most relaxing dining moment.

Coffee was classic diner coffee — nothing fancy, nothing bad. If that’s your comfort zone, you’ll be happy.

Bottom line: If you’re here for a traditional American breakfast, especially eggs, this place delivers. Vegans can make it work, but it’s more “fuel” than “flavor.” Friendly service, solid diner vibes, and a good option if you know what you’re walking into.

It was my first time at this location, and we were able to grab a seat at the bar right away. The Old Bloody Mary didn’t have a lot of garnishes, but it still tasted good. The waitresses were friendly and welcoming.

The restroom is located outside to the right as you walk in, though I didn’t get a chance to use it. I ordered the sweet potato and sausage hash with eggs, which I definitely recommend. Everything tasted great overall—my only small critique is that the bacon could have been cooked a bit more.

We happened upon the Galley Grill when looking for breakfast nearby. The food was fabulous! When we left Key West the following day we even waited to eat breakfast until we got back to Galley Grill. The service was terrific and the ambiance was perfect too. The grilled banana bread is a MUST!!

This is a nice Florida Keys diner. The food was good and the waitress was nice. I had the Cajun scramble and my wife had a Western Omelette. We dined here on 10/16/25.

Best breakfast we had in the keys. The corned beef AND sweet potato hash are amazing. Also a great gluten free selection if you want/need.

Wayyyyyyyy over priced! Portion to price is a rip off… everything in the keys is overpriced because of the tourist destination, but I was surprised here. The food is good, and the service is friendly, but I probably wouldn’t willingly go back.

We drove from key largo to have their breakfast, we missed the time by just a few minutes. We decided to stay for lunch and the fresh fish sandwich was delicious. Check them out and see what you think.

Blueberry pancakes are stuffed with real blueberries – so good. Tried the sweet potato hash, I like sweet potatoes, pepper, sausage, but it wasn’t something I’d order again. Coffee strong and mimosas top notch. Friendly service. Visited January 2026.

The crab cake eggs Benedict was by far the best I have ever had. Our server was amazingly attentive, and right there to grab my plate when I was done.
