Moldy shower curtain!

Check-in was easy since the lounge is right next to the tram. As soon as I landed, I added my name to the waitlist and was able to get in on time.

Upon arriving, I also added my name for a shower and was able to take one right away. The room itself was clean and modern, but the shower curtain had mold. I didn’t notice this until I was already undressed. After a full day of traveling with one more flight ahead, I decided to use it anyway, since getting a different room would have required going all the way back up to guest services because the rooms are keypad-locked. Unfortunately, it didn’t stop there—the water never warmed up, so I ended up taking an ice-cold shower. I had planned to wash my hair but skipped it because of the temperature.

Afterward, I grabbed some food and tried the relaxation pod. The food was okay—small, portioned plates, but plenty of pre-packaged options to take along.

On my way out, I did inform the front desk of the moldy curtain and they said they’d send someone change it.

The experience overall felt elevated, but the mold really set the tone. Had I skipped the shower, I probably would have rated it higher, but ultimately, if they’re neglecting something as basic as a shower curtain, it makes me question the overall cleanliness of the space.

One of the better lounges that we have visited in our many years of traveling. Capital One did an excellent job with maximizing the capacity and providing such a good view of the tarmac. The staff had a great lineup of food and snacks, and the bar options were excellent as well. They also offer a few amenities that are a nice touch (Relaxation room, shower, and yoga room)

Just an fyi, join the waitlist as soon as your plane lands for a layover or once you arrive at the airport (before security). They say there is almost always a wait, which I understand why. Certainly worth the wait! Great work Cap1.

This was my first experience at the Capital One Lounge at DFW. There was a short wait, and since I was between flights, I decided to check it out. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised.

The lounge was very full — lots of people and not much open seating — but the staff remained pleasant and welcoming throughout. The food selection was good with a wide variety of options. Not everything was to my taste, but everything was beautifully presented. I really enjoyed the beef brisket; I ended up having about five of those little bowls before I felt like I’d had a full meal, but they were delicious.

My maple old fashioned was excellent, and it was nice to just relax and unwind for a bit. There were other amenities I didn’t get a chance to try, but I’m looking forward to exploring more lounges in the future.

For a first‑time experience, it was very good.

WOW is all I can say. This used to be my favorite lounge location out of all of the Capital One lounges. They must’ve changed managers or something because the service was horrible. Rude, bad attitude, general tangible hostility when dealing with staff AND manager. The only truly pleasant staff member was the young gentleman at the front checking us in. I ordered a drink, waited almost 20 minutes, ordered another drink (same one) thinking maybe my first order got lost. Another 10 minutes passed and I finally inquired and was told that they need to pre-bottle it or mix it or do something so basically the drink wasn’t prepared. WHY would someone not come over to inform me the drink wasn’t not available so I could order something else???? So I proceeded to ask for a different drink. Then the manager came over and explained they were going to get the first choice drink taken care of so I kept my original order but asked how long it would be and I was rudely told they were in the process of making it. It still took another 10 minutes to get that drink. And then they gave me a hard time about charging my phone at the seat next to me because there were no charger stations/outlets where I was. All in all, the lounge is a great idea and used to be fantastic but this was the absolute worst experience I’ve had in any of the Capital One lounges. Definitely rethinking if the value is still there. Wish I got the manager‘s name that was full of attitude, but I was in a rush to get to my plane and didn’t want further confrontations with him.

Capital one lounge just keeps outgoing it self. Not only is the service and food exemplary, but they just rolled out a green tea and macaroon cart. And its simply amazing.

My experience at the Korean Air Lounge in Terminal D was disappointing. The wait times were unexpectedly long, and I think it’s unreasonable to have Korean Air passengers sharing the space with certain credit-card holders. You would expect more after spending over 5k for a international business flight. With how large this airport is, it seems like there should be separate lounge areas or at least a more efficient system to accommodate everyone. Even though I expected Thanksgiving crowds, waiting over an hour for lounge access felt excessive.

The lady at the front who initially checked me was friendly and helpful. However, when I went to register for the waitlist, Tom at the front gave me a noticeably difficult time. From the moment I started giving my information, his tone was tense and dismissive. He repeatedly insisted that I needed a voucher, even though I had just confirmed with the front desk that I did not. After they clarified it for him again, he still struggled to accept it, which made the interaction longer and more uncomfortable than it needed to be.

In a setting like this, especially one that serves different airlines and membership types, staff should be well-trained on the requirements and able to assist passengers without unnecessary back-and-forth.

Fortunately, I arrived early enough that I still had some time to use the lounge, but it was underwhelming to say the least. There was nothing to eat besides some pastries and fruits. And it smelled so bad as soon as I walked in. Some people need to shower… are they not aware of their body odor? it ruined my appetite. I couldn’t breathe and it was unpleasant!

Overall, not worth the wait. I would skip this lounge. Shouldve went to the centurion lounge instead.

I’ve been to the Capital One Lounge at DFW over a dozen times, and usually, it’s not too bad. The free Wi-Fi works fine, and the complimentary food, while mediocre at best, still feels like a good perk when you see your credit card benefits at work. The staff has generally been kind and cool, and you do come across some nice faces.

However, one bad experience can ruin everything. On a recent vacation, I stopped by, only to have the lady at the front desk completely blow things out of proportion. I have two Capital One cards–my mom was using one, and I was using my own. For some reason, the front desk lady, whose name I wish I had so I could report her, made a big scene about how I couldn’t come in because one card was being used for two guests. I don’t even know if that’s an actual rule, but it shouldn’t have mattered since I had my own Capital One card. Despite this, she still denied me access, which was ridiculous. That single experience left a bad taste, and it was enough to make me reconsider coming back. One star.

On the way to Brazil, I did not know this lounge existed.  I went to a Priority Pass lounge and that was a major disappointment.  My brother told me about this lounge so on my way back home I stopped by to check it out in the morning of 4/27/2025.  I showed the receptionist my Capital One Venture X card and I gained access to the lounge.
The place was spacious and clean.  Staff were caring and friendly. It offered a variety of delicious food and even let you take food for your flight.  Staff constantly clean up the tables and replenish the food.
The restrooms were individual ones.  I think there were 6 of them.  I was going to have a quick stop before I left to go to my boarding gate.  But there were several people waiting to use it so I gave up!  This is the only issue I found.

The lounge itself is great, good views, nice bar and the drinks fresh beer on the tap. The choice of food is amazing and small portions making it easy to try out at the same time now over eat. The lounge checks all the boxes however it is too small and cannot accommodate big groups. Travelling in business and having lounge access and needing to wait 30-45 min is crazy. Even after being on waitlist you need come back up and still queue another time to enter. This is annoying and could be better if they are bigger. I hope they work on the expansion of the lounge maintaining the facilities.

The Capital One Lounge at DFW is great if you have VentureX card – as it’s free to enter. Not sure if I would pay for entry though. I hung out at the lounge ten days apart, and the menu did not change at all. There were two different kinds of Mac & cheese, Italian Wedding soup, Chicken Cacciatore, some sort of squash dish and a small charcuterie dish. The food is decent but not spectacular. Again, if you go in for free, then it’s rad. I love the to-go options they have (although, the to go sandwiches could be swapped out for different sandwiches). You can take sandwiches, little salads, desserts, pretzels and trail mix with you. The lounge has nice, clean, private bathrooms. There’s even a relaxation rooms with massage pods (that don’t work the best). There are showers and even a work out room. If you have a layover at DFW, the Capital One Lounge is absolutely way better than hanging in the terminal. If you holler at the bar, the cooling cucumber mocktail is delish!
