The whole restaurant has a gorgeous modern, organic feel that makes it such a unique spot for a wedding. I especially loved the little outdoor space they have. We used it for portraits but it would also work perfectly as an alternative ceremony spot!
The staff was so great and really accommodating to the couple. They made sure every detail was handled so the day felt easy and stress-free. If you’re looking for a restaurant wedding venue in Toronto that feels fresh and modern, this is a must! I’m already looking forward to my next shoot here.
They are gluten free and vegan accommodating, the mango matcha dessert was the best
Definitely looking to come back and live music too
I was one of the founding design team of the 1 Hotel brand (I worked on the design of first ones to open in New York, Brooklyn and Miami), so I was pleased to see the ambience stays true to the original concepts.
Chile pulpo 5/5 this was really tasty, good use of spices, good portion size
Yucatán sweet corn 3/5 not a lot of flavor and the taste of the beans overpower the corn. Good portion size though
Ceviche blanco 2/5 tiny portion for the price, not much flavor, it was pretty bland
A la roca – the Wagyu strip loin 3.5/5 I’ve had much better Wagyu elsewhere for this price. It was still tasty but 6oz for $110, I expected better
Truffle risotto 4/5 the taste of black truffle was very very mild, decent portion
Cocktail – Mayahuela 1/5 you can literally only taste mezcal, the kiwi and all other flavors were smothered by the smokiness of the mezcal
Food was okay, pricey with a small brunch menu. But beautifully presented.
Live entertainment was nice. Overall vibe was great!
