We used to love this place and would come often when we are in town. But it seems to have gone down hill. From the staff to the quality of the food. What really did it for us was when my husband ordered his steak well done. He got it and cut it up. Ate a few pieces and decided it was too rare. Politely let the server know and she came back with a small plate and had my husband put the few pieces of meat on it. Brought it back about 10 minutes later and it was the same few pieces cooked to a crisp. Meanwhile her attitude about it was not very nice. Apologized as we paid and said she’d take the 2 sodas off the bill to make up for the bad steak. The last 2 visits we had stomachaches after eating here. Really disappointing.

This is our go to place for Steaks in Rancho. They have been here for as long as I can remember. Atmosphere and ambience has remained all these years for old steakhouse/western style vibe. Service is good and fast and always ask if you need anything. First time I tried Mushroom skilet, it was quite good.

Started going to the location in Moreno Valley as a young kid (burned my finger on the plate when I was 4). Now at age 40 I love coming to the location near me in Rancho Cucamonga. I can’t think of something that’s been more consistent. The salad is great and the super stockyard steak is fantastic. The break has been exactly the same since I can remember and the steak fries are always great. Love this place and prefer it over most of the high priced steak houses!!

Very good food. Large portions, we wanted a steak dinner. Unfortunately we ordered potatoe skins. They are huge. But the steak and food was very very good. The price is perfect. I would chose this place over any outback, black Angus,without a hesitation. It’s a little hidden but we’ll worth it.

Location,;Good, Parking; Good, Service; Good, Price for food received; Good, Overall; This was a first time try even though this restaurant has been around for many years. With a strong customer base it survived the covid closures. The reason to me was good portions at a decent price. The Service was also good as they were attentive even with a good amount of customers. This is a place I will be coming back as long as they keep things as they are. The one thing I was not impressed with was the sauce used on the pork ribs. Not much taste but really sweet. A few tweaks would be a positive change.

We loved our experience here! Friendly, fast service coupled with amazing food. The portions are generous and our food was perfectly cooked. This place is also very allergy friendly, with appetizers cooked in a completely separate fryer than any of the fish or seafood offerings.

I was really disappointed with both the service and steak. I let my server Alyssa know I ordered medium and it was rare… even raw in some parts. I ordered the loaded potato and didn’t get the toppings. She offered to bring me them on the side but it’s never the same since the cheese is cold so I said “No, thank you, I just didn’t want to be charged for toppings I didn’t get.” The server rolled her eyes and after that she started whispering and staring at us with another server. A few minutes after she brought the check and to go boxes while we both had full plates. It felt like she was rushing us out since I mentioned my steak and potato weren’t right. We asked another server for a bag and it fell and they still expected us to use it from the nasty floor.

First time here. My significant other and I were celebrating our anniversary. After a long adventure, we decided to try this place out.
Environment and staff were great. Love the cabin feel, and history of the place.
First glace at the menu, and we were shocked at the prices of the steaks! Then when the food came, we learned we got what we paid for.
Starter was great! Got potato skins. Can’t go wrong there.
We both ordered the ribeye (mine medium rare, hers medium). I ordered shrimp with mine. Both steaks came with false grill marks. The shrimp skewer presentation was lonely as it came on one skewer on a big place . Cutting through the streaks required a bit of sawing, and were fairly chewy. Steak seasoning were good. Silver skin was left on both steaks. Personally not a fan of leaving silver skin on.
By the time we finished eating. It was fair to say the food quality is similar to Sizzler. We got a very cozy cabin vibe from the place, so it was still a good experience. I would say it’s more of a family restaurant than a steak house. If you’re looking for a good steak, this isn’t the place. If you’re looking for a steak easy on the wallet, this is the place.
