We are, I suppose I’d call “hibachi snobs”. We’ve been to a lot of hibachi restaurants from all over, including the one in nearby Spokane Valley.
Dony was our chef and he gave us a great show with his own special tricks. This is the best show we have experienced in a while! They clearly put effort into the entertainment portion. The kids at nearby tables were all in awe, the chefs put on good shows here. 🙂

We both ordered filet and I ordered the scallop combo.
They offered soup or salad, we both did the soup which was more of a soy base than a clear soup, still very good and flavorful- but different than the typical clear soup!

We ordered rare filet and they were cooked to perfection! Scallops were tender and seared well, as were the shrimp. The rice was one of our favorites, very well seasoned with some mixed veg inside that added a nice crunch.

The veggies were cooked perfectly and the sauce on them was really good. As for the side sauces, we both favored the Yum Yum sauce, though the ginger sauce was accurate- it has a nice kick!

We enjoyed our dinner with plenty of green tea (lots of hot water refills!) but want to try the hot sake next time as we noticed sake enhances the flavors of the meal.

It was easier to talk there than at other hibachi restaurants! It was a Friday night and they had full tables, but it wasn’t overly crowded and there was room for everyone.

Clean restrooms and restaurant, easy parking, and good location. Our waitress was friendly and provided good service as well.

We’ll surely be back again!

Dony was our Hibachi Chef and made everyone laugh with his comical cooking skills. The food was delicious and the whole experience was very entertaining. The fire show never disappoints!!! I ordered double fried rice for the win

This place was different for us but not bad. The food was great. Fresh flavors. The hot plates were hot, the sushi rolls hit the spot. Our order was taken and followed to the letter…for the most part. We asked for no sesame seeds on one plate for a medical condition and found about 5 but no harm no foul. We’ve learned to be thorough in checking before starting in on our plates. It can get loud due to the grill area. The chefs cook in front of you and people like to react. If you’re looking for quiet, this place probably isn’t it.

Love the sushi here so much! Las vegas roll and the eel energy roll are fantastic and the presentation is always so pretty. Very relaxed atmosphere too.

It was definitely hit or miss regarding the food. I am a plant based eater, and asked our server ahead of time if there were any animal products in the teppanyaki veggies and tofu, and she said no. Then, I watched the very fun chef, who put on a nice show, throw about a quarter pound of butter into the veggies and tofu (as he did with the other dishes as well) and immediately begin tossing and mixing them. Another diner was having the same thing I did, which means we shared that portion, and I was with a large group of acquaintances I didn’t know well, so to be fair, I didn’t say anything. I also couldn’t eat it. The cut on the veggies was odd, too. Whoever did the prep is lacking in knife skills. Nothing was conforming, and there were pieces of inedible stem (broccoli??) on my neighbors plate that were fibrous and stringy, and should never have been used. Two of our party ordered the filet mignon and scallops. I could tell the meat wasn’t well trimmed based on the visible connective tissue that was present (the silver skin had been removed, though), but I didn’t eat it, so I can’t speak to the flavor. I also cannot speak about the shrimp or scallops because I didn’t have any. They were large and looked fine, though.

Two in our party ordered sushi rolls, and they said they were great, so I think that the sushi was the star of the party. Three of us ordered steamed rice, which the server forgot until half way through the meal, when the chef reminded her. The “steamed rice” was NOT freshly cooked. I am sure that it was the same day old rice used for the fried rice. It was luke warm, stale, and dry/gummy. It was very hard to choke down. If a Japanese restaurant can’t serve a decent bowl of freshly steamed white rice, there is an issue… I ate some out of the little bowl it was served in because my plate was swimming in butter and oil. The salad was ok, a simple small bowl of greens and a few shredded carrots, with a tasty strawberry/ginger dressing. Not bad for a side salad. Needless to say, I left hungry after only eating some of the old rice and the small salad.

I had a nice glass of a new world sauvignon blanc, a very generous pour, that was $10. It was probably an $8 bottle, but that’s ok. It was a solid wine, not flabby or stale, and they weren’t shy with the pour, which was probably 6 ounces. One of those in our party had the same wine, and ordered a second glass, which the server never brought until she was reminded about 20 minutes later, when we were nearly done with our meal. Our server was very nice, but she forgot rice and mid meal drink orders, and never came around to refill water, which I desperately needed after choking down some of that white rice. Maybe it was her first day on the job. Who knows. She was very nice, though.

Where I sat, the table was sticky and the floor was gross. My shoes were sticking to the floor, and there was food on it. Maybe a child was sitting there before I did. I don’t know, but it was rather unnerving.

In the end, I think the teppanyaki food was ok to decent from what I observed. The old “steamed rice” was nasty, and the side salad was fine. The fried rice looked pretty good (I did not have any because there was egg in it). The sushi appeared to be very good, however, and was very reasonably priced, which is why I am giving this review 3 stars instead of 2. The prices are very reasonable for this type of place (my veggie/tofu was only $16, and most single protein dishes were in the $20-30 range), and the quantities were fine. There are certainly better Japanese teppanyaki restaurants like this in the area. Maybe this is a great example of “you get what you pay for”. Will I go back? Not likely.

We were apprehensive after reading recent reviews, but this place was actually pretty good! We arrived around 11:30 am, and we were the only table for teppanyaki. We were joined by two other people, and enjoyed a great show, including some tricks I’ve not seen at other places. The food was great, the service attentive, and entertaining to eat. The fried rice was better than other places I’ve been. They add sesame seeds for something different. I’d definitely go back.

Visited 12/26 with a group of 11. Service was rough. Inattentive, had to go up multiple times to get drinks and refills, server was not friendly whatsoever. Empty dishes not being cleared, etc. The food was very good. The server, though, really left a negative impression. Also gratuity was added to our split checks but not mentioned or noted so we ended up leaving double tips for service that was very poor (one of the members of our group noticed after we left). A competent or at least friendly server would have made a world of difference.

Waiter never checked on us and was being rude to us. We went up to the front several times to ask for forks and refills on drinks because she wouldn’t check on us. Waiter never grabbed our empty plates. Goes into the back for 5 minutes at a time and comes out to check on other tables. She forgot multiple alcoholic beverages and we had to go up and ask for them again. One of our forks had food on it. Better service could’ve gotten them a bigger tip.

Fu-Ki is GREAT. They are all of the fun, deliciousness and quality associated with a Teppan grill without the blandness that can come from other places that mix all of their ingredients together and use the same sauces for everything.

Absolutely stellar food. The scallops are literally the best I’ve had in years. Steak was cooked to perfection and they take food allergies very seriously so that was great to see.

Highly recommend, will definitely be back.
