We had lunch and it was a very good experience. Clean place, good portions and at general market price. While all food was good, special call out to Nallakharam Gobi. It was aptly spiced and very light. The Hashtag Special Biryani was also very good too.
I dinged one star on service as my Biryani arrived before our starters.
All in all, will go back!

I recently visited Hashtag India in Cedar Park and loved the flavors! We tried the Irani Chai, Special Chicken Mandi $21.99, and Bheemavaram Kodi Chicken $10.99. Everything was excellent — the chicken appetizer was perfectly masala-coated, the chicken mandi had authentic mandi rice flavor with generous pieces of chicken, and it reminded me of Afghan-style chicken preparation. The chai was delicious and incredibly affordable (small $1, regular $2) . I can’t wait to come back and try more dishes.
The restaurant has lots of seating, including Arabic majlis-style private sections, though the overall setup feels like a canteen. You order and pay at the counter, then pick up your food when your name is called. Plates are paper, utensils are plastic, and water/waste disposal is self-service. There’s a wide display of appetizers and curries behind the counter, and they go fast — clearly very popular!

We visited Hashtag India in Leander for their South Indian breakfast buffet, and it was an excellent experience! We were a group of five, and everyone loved the variety and authenticity of the dishes. The flavors were spot on—fresh, homely, and true to South Indian cuisine.
A special shout-out to Sakhi, our server, who took great care of us throughout the meal. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we always had what we needed.
Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a delicious and satisfying South Indian breakfast buffet in the area. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Poor service, food quality has gone down, good and well lit ambience but busy though. The owner should seriously think about replacing the front facing ladies who always have a sad and plastic faces with someone more cheerful and humble. Today, I had to argue for chutney with a lady for samosas (they are dry), never had to experience before! The lady says that they don’t have chutney but I can see them right infront of me. Didn’t like the chicken dum biryani at all, not authentic and dry, more tasted and looked like chicken pulav rice, instead. Mysore masala dosa and masala chai were tasty, as usual. Overall, today’s experience was below average, should have gone somewhere else!

I ordered the Gongura Veg Biryani, but it didn’t feel like a proper biryani or even authentic gongura rice. The mix of vegetables, paneer, gongura, and peas felt random rather than well-balanced. The taste was quite disappointing. Better they either give gongura with vegetables or Gongura with paneer this gongura veg biryani tastes like hell almost like tamarind rice with vegetables

Tried the mutton mandi after reading several reviews. Did not disappoint. It was nice. The only problem was that it was too spicy despite asking to not make it spicy. Looks like that was the least spiciest version.
Service can improve. It’s self service style restaurant. No one tells you that as you enter the restaurant nor could I find any signage that indicated it. You find yourself a seat take a menu go to the counter make an order. Once the food is ready they will call out your name. Water plates utensils are kept at a counter for your to go and take. Once done eating pick up your plates and drop it at a spot that collects them. You are better off making an order to go rather than sitting there to eat.
Some spots were not very clean. I recommend the mutton mandi if you can tolerate the heat. 1 is good for 2 people. Enjoy it in the comfort of your home.

We ordered two mutton Mandi. We tried several Mandi. I wish they gave less salt. It was too much salt that we barely eat. And I wish their rice quantity is much more. But I appreciate they gave rice and mutton are in separate containers. Thank you. Although Rice was flavored full and tasty .

I recently visited Hashtag India in Leander for their breakfast buffet, and the experience was alright overall. The buffet had a reasonable selection and worked fine for a quick breakfast.
On a separate visit, I tried their Jalapeño Paneer from the regular menu, and that was excellent. It was flavorful, well-seasoned, and definitely a dish I’d go back for.

The mutton mandi was very very good. The meat fell off the bones and the gravy and rice was very tasty. But the chicken was just as disappointing. They put a very dry chicken piece and put the tikka masala style gravy on the top. Which wasn’t new or that tasty either.
The chiku milkshake was very good and you have to try that there.
We don’t try any chat items so no comments there. But we will go back for the mutton mandi again.
Service was pretty good with quite friendly staff!
They can keep the place a bit more cleaner.

I ordered Chicken Manchuria from Hashtag this afternoon, and the experience was very disappointing. The dish was extremely oily even when we tried to remove the excess oil, it was still too greasy. We ended up throwing away more than half of the box. I even found a small stone inside the food. This is completely unacceptable, and I hope the restaurant seriously improves its quality and hygiene.
