The food was excellent! All the dishes were so tasty. The cucumber salad, the pickled daikon, the mushroom miso ramen, garlic chicken ramen, mushroom bao bun – all so so good and flavorful. The desserts were also fantastic. The miso brown butter cookie was soft and the tahini soft serve with crunchy bits was a perfect way to end the night.

The service was frustrating. Our food took a long time to arrive and they forgot one dish until the end. Same thing happened with dessert, they seemed to keep forgetting to serve us, which was a bit disappointing. I want to go back and try more dishes, hoping to get better service next time.

From Apps to Entrees everything was stellar and delicious. We ordered the kimchi, pickled Daikon and cucumbers with jalapeños. Crispy chicken with Bao bun and pork belly with ramen noodles and to finish it off the steak with greens! They offer NA beers which is perfect for dry January! What an amazing experience.

The downtown 11th street momofuku is better in terms of food and service. But the atmosphere is better here.

The steak was chewy and salty. The chicken was overtly salty and dry. Total waste of money. The pork ramen was very good but they brought my friend’s ramen out first, with a 6 minute lag between his and mine. My friend had to wait for my ramen to be served.

They also didn’t provide a fork or knife for the steak. Service was subpar given the price of the food. However they did fill my water frequently.

Don’t bother with this place. Go to the downtown one.

As we had a $150 coupon / credit from our Chase credit card for dining at an exclusive list of restaurants, we were happy to find this more affordable and casual style restaurant was included and nearby to a show we were attending at Lincoln Center Theatre. We reserved through OpenTable one day prior (definitely recommended) and arrived to the shopping mall (Columbus Circle) and took the escalator up and walked to the far end of the floor to find the restaurant. They had a very friendly and professional hostess who immediately seated us at a table for two (which was basically a large booth split with 2 smallish tables so we were crammed in and rubbing shoulders with another party right next to us). The place is pretty small and by the time we got our drinks, every table was full with a line waiting. It isn’t fancy at all and is very casual with no pretension. The kitchen is open and viewable in the side of the restaurant. Service was shared among a few waiter staff who stopped by a few times but weren’t particularly friendly or focused on any particular table. Food was brought out very quickly and serving sizes are generally LARGE so don’t over order on appetizers. We had appetizers, entree, and were checked out and leaving in under an hour. Everything was delicious, well prepared, and great flavors without being particularly spicy. The only slight miss was our order of Ginger Scallion Noodles, which had great flavor but surprisingly zero sauce or broth, so was a little dry and heavy. We didn’t use it but they also had a nicely priced fixed price menu. I wouldn’t necessarily take a date here, but for a quick sit down lunch, the food was great and the service was fast. Our coupon / credit posted from our credit card within 24 hours, so win all around.

Very delicious food and good service but definitely on the pricier side.
A reservation is highly recommended!

Appetizer: Fried Fingerling Potatoes (3/5)
The sauce to dip the potatoes in was delicious and had a hint of spiciness to it. The potatoes tasted very potato-y and not too fried / oily, and this is what I expect the average potato wedge to be cooked. However, was it worth $10…probably not.

Main 1: Garlic Chicken Ramen (3/5)
The chicken was cooked very well! It wasn’t too dry. Big fan of the texture of the noodles. They were bouncy and absorbed the broth very well. The broth was too salty to drink. I had to essentially use the remaining rice from my other dish to add to the broth to dilute the saltiness of it. This was a very good portion size, but not big enough for the bowl to be $22. There are a ton of ramen spots in NYC, and this is definitely priced at the Momofuku brand.

Main 2: Black pepper steak (5/5)
This steak was cooked to its perfection. The perfect medium rare, not too dry, and very well seasoned. The pea shoots were also perfect and absorbed the sauce very well. Highly recommend this dish!

Despite the crowd at the reception and outside of the door, handling take-aways, seating arrangements and bookings, the staff is trying their best to keep everything in order. Well done

We arrived at 5pm for a table , the reception put us on wait list for 6:30pm. We got it at around 6:45pm, which is better than we expected, given the people lining up.

Food wise, we ordered the Broccolini, Wings, spicy mushroom noodles and the garlic chicken noodles. It’s a happy combinations of classics ( ramen) and other Asian flavours. I like the wings with dry spices the best.

Great food, ambiance as well as service. The place is busy so reservation is recommended but once you reach the food blows your mind. The bao buns, both pork belly and shrimp patty ones are perfect to start with. Their chicken wings with the paprika rub is delectable. The ramen bowls outstanding. The portion sizes are awesome. Definitely recommend this place.

I think Momofuku is overrated. The only reason why we ordered from here was because my husband had a dining credit benefit on his credit card, and this was the closest participating restaurant to his office. We had Pork Belly Steamed Buns, Garlic Chicken Ramen (baby spinach, poached egg), Smoked Pork Ramen (pork belly, poached egg, bamboo). I will admit that the pork belly was better than I expected. I didn’t taste any difference between the pork belly from the buns and the one from the ramen though, even though that one was supposed to be smoked. The chicken was super dry and it was chicken thigh. How does one mess up chicken thigh?! The noodles were fine – even after 1+ hour in transit and the microwave.

I’d only order from here again if there was another dining credit but there are definitely way better ramen spots out there.

Perhaps my expectations were set too high because I had heard so much about Momofuko, but I was a bit disappointed in the overall experience. The food was good, just not fantastic my wife said she thought our local Ramen joint served better Ramen. (I thought it was just as good but different.) My crispy spring chicken had more of a crunchy coating than a crispy one, and it was quite oily and still a bit pink inside. Service was friendly enough but a bit perfunctory.

The food exceeded our expectations! As fans of his show, we were very excited to be there. The staff was very friendly and professional. The restaurant was easy to find. The pork belly ramen was perfect, the pork belly bao buns were also perfection, and the habanero rice cakes were a flavor bomb and had amazing texture, like no other rice cakes we have had before. We wish we had this close to home. Highly recommend!
