The atmosphere is fun and laid-back, with that nostalgic Macado’s charm that makes it a great hangout spot for students, locals, or anyone passing through. The menu is huge, the portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable.
Service is friendly, food comes out fast, and everything feels reliable — you always know you’re getting a solid meal. If you’re in Blacksburg and want the best wings in town, Macado’s is the spot.
The food and portion size are fantastic. One of the first times in a long time that I’ve went to a restaurant where I could look at an entire menu and go my God everything sounds delicious. And the food I ordered fantastic. I can’t even begin to describe how juicy and tasty that sandwich was and how it hit a spot. I didn’t even know I had. But what really impressed me was the quality of service we received while we were there.
Our server, Liam, went above and beyond. He gave us a recommendations, answered all of our questions, even went back and checked with the cook to find something close to what I was feeling, and then pointed it out on the menu and things that would be comparable to what I was after and made spot on recommendations for an appetizer. Provided excellent customer service as well as came in repeatedly and checked to make sure all of our needs were met. My cup never went empty. The food was good enough to come back for but the service, when I say the service will bring you back I am underselling it. If I could give the service 10 stars I would.
I didn’t take a picture of my food until I was packing it up because it was so good. I couldn’t keep my hands off of it. Picture attached to what remains of less than half of my meal.
When I visited Macados for the first time 18 years ago, the foods were great and the vibe was great too.
I visited here in 18 years with so much of expectation of good memories with my son this time, I had to admit that things should be changed as time goes as well.
Menus are still old but the young servers are not really familiar with the menus.
This is pub but when I ask him to recommend me a beer he told me he doesn’t really know about beer so he couldn’t help me with it. Also, some of the beers were out too.
The restaurant has a variety of beers on tap, the selection of which changes so frequently that they don’t print a menu. Patrons scan a QR code to see the current selection.
