My wife and I shared and exceptional dinner with Le Pigeon. The atmosphere, service, and food were fantastic. The chefs were engaging along with the entire staff which made for a very nice dinner. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a nice dinner or dinner for a special occasion.

Decadently delicious French-inspired cuisine and worth the price of admission!

I came back home for a visit and finally decided to try Le Pigeon since this restaurant came highly reccomend online and from local word of mouth. I was initially a little worried due to the price. I’ve heard abour tasting reaturants that are overtly snobby and have tiny portions of food for their price. Le Pigeon blew everything out of the water.

The food was delicious, and the wine paring (which is an extra fee) was incredible. We had five courses and left feeling full by the end. I was also impressed by the vegetarian and non-alcoholic pairing selection one of my tablemates had. Their food was equally as well made as my omnivore selection and their NA drinks were delicious. A lot of places usually have these as afterthoughts, but this selection was rock solid!

The menu changes, but the talent at this resturant is top notch. If you can squeeze out a visit here for a special occasion I highly reccomend it! You won’t leave disappointed.

I was really blown away at what a great experience we had at Le Pigeon. I took my best friend for his 40th birthday and it did not in any way shape or form disappoint. The staff was phenomenal. Knowledgeable, kind, and incredibly passionate about everything in the restaurant. The food was superb. I have never done a tasting menu before, but we had an excellent experience. The food was elevated, the presentation was stunning, and yet … it still had a homey yet elevated familiarity about it, which I was not expecting. I really appreciated how intentional everything about this experience was. The food, the wine pairings, the staff, everything was beautiful. I also appreciate how comfortable and laid back the ambiance is in the restaurant. It made the whole experience perfect.

From start to finish, our anniversary dinner at Le Pigeon was absolutely phenomenal. Every single dish in the Chef’s Tasting Menu was a masterpiece – creative, well-balanced, and full of flavor. The Steak Tartare with mussels and apricot was unexpectedly delightful, the Shrimp & Grits was comforting with a unique twist, and that Wine Can Chicken with truffle? Wow.

We opted for the reserve wine pairing and it was totally worth it – each glass elevated the food beautifully. The service was impeccable: warm, knowledgeable, and perfectly paced. They even customized our menu with a sweet anniversary message. ❤️

Atmosphere was cozy yet stylish, and we loved sitting at the chef’s counter. Highly recommend for any special occasion – this was easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Portland.

My absolute favorite restaurant in town. Hands down the best French food in PNW, and yes I’m so confident. Been there three times in the past few years, and no time is never a disappointment. Just dropping my review as a support to the great chef and team.

Le Pigeon is one of those restaurants that fully earns its reputation and still manages to feel unpretentious once you sit down. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is intimate and relaxed, with an open kitchen that adds energy without being distracting. It feels like a place focused on the food and the experience rather than trying too hard to impress.

The menu is creative and thoughtfully put together, with French-inspired dishes that highlight bold flavors and high-quality ingredients. Each plate feels carefully balanced, and nothing comes across as overdone or gimmicky. The tasting menu is a great option if you want to experience a range of what the kitchen does best, but even ordering à la carte feels like a well-rounded meal. Standout dishes are rich without being heavy, and the attention to detail is obvious in both flavor and presentation.

Service is knowledgeable and attentive without feeling stiff. The staff does a great job explaining the menu and offering suggestions, especially when it comes to wine pairings. Everything moves at a comfortable pace, allowing you to enjoy each course without feeling rushed.

Overall, Le Pigeon delivers a memorable dining experience that feels refined but still approachable. It is an excellent choice for a special night out or for anyone wanting to experience why Portland is so well regarded for its food scene.

This is a splurge worthy restaurant. We treated ourselves to this deciduous tasting menu for our anniversary. I have celiac and the whole staff was on top of ensuring I could enjoy the meal. Every course was so lovely, beautifully seasoned and expertly put together. What I love about places like this is that it forces you to try things you’d never put together. But the whole experience was so wonderful. Sitting up at the bar and watching the team work their magic in that tiny little space was something else. If you’re in town and want a one of a kind experience I highly recommend them.

Exquisite experience. This high dining location is esteemed for a reason! It’s not just food, it’s an adventure of the palette. Every aspect is delicately curated by the chefs to intentionally tantalize the senses. Amazing, thank you!

We came here as a late celebration of Mother’s Day, and we’re not disappointed. The food was spectacular, interesting, and tasty! They handled my child’s allergies well. I highly recommend the Le Pigeon!

Food was fabulous, but I had two long pieces of plastic in my amuse bouche that I didn’t notice until I had my bite and it cut my gum. We have eaten at several fine dining restaurants and are fully aware that mistakes happen, we are all human and that’s totally ok! However, to our surprise we did not receive any sort of comp or attempt to really apologize, just a quick sorry and joke about not having plastic in my next dish. At $380 for two people we expected a much higher level of service.
