Fajitas for 2 were hot, fresh and delicious! Our server and dinner service were excellent! Margaritas on point! We inhaled our dinner because it was sooo good! Love that our server made balloon animals for his guests, that was a special touch! This was our 1st time dining here and we will definitely be back!!

Delicious food. Consistently. Usually I order in but a few days ago we went inside and the service was excellent as well as the food. I forgot the gentleman’s name that served us but he made us heart balloons before we left. We’ll tonight I did my usual call in and he remembered me and made me a little balloon animal to go. It’s really the small things that make the biggest impact. Because why is my grown self so excited over a little balloon. I don’t know but my inner child is over the moon and that makes me happy. El Catrin Mexican Restaurant has the best cucumber margarita I have ever had — perfectly refreshing and flavorful! The food is just as impressive — fresh, authentic, and absolutely delicious. Every dish I’ve tried has been full of flavor and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is friendly and attentive. This is hands down one of my favorite spots. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great drinks, amazing food, and a great vibe!

I ordered Texas nachos like I usually do, and right after placing my order I tried calling the restaurant to ask for my chips on the side. I called about 10 times before they finally answered. When they picked up, I politely asked if they could put the chips on the side. They refused and said the food was already made. I then asked nicely if they could remake it, but she said my dasher was already on the way to pick it up. I told her that couldn’t be true because the app hadn’t even assigned me a driver yet.

Went here today this afternoon at 12:45pm, after church. It was my first time. The atmosphere, service and waitress was very kind and welcoming. I order the supreme nachos without the guacamole and tomatoes. Very reasonable prices and plenty of seating. The food came out fresh, hot and delicious . Ever in the Griffin GA area, do check them out!

My wife had the menudo and loved it. She’s picky with her menudo. I had enchiladas, my sons had steak quesadillas. This place is the best tasting Mexican food in Griffin. We are fans of Catarina’s and La Parrilla, and this was much better. We will be new regulars. Service was outstanding.

For the most part this is my go to Mexican restaurant. I’m very simple. Love the Arroz con Pollo. Its usually great. But there are times it falls short. But not enough for me to not come back. We’ve dined in before and they have a really great bartender. (The young lady is the one who helped us but the male one has great service as well). My biggest issue is we usually get our order to go and they have a charge for everything. Its a cash vs credit charge, plus the tax, plus charging for the take out containers.. My order literally jumps up $2 from the charges alone. So something I would keep in mind when ordering take out.

Here from the City and I decided to try them. Entered the place, nice atmosphere I had ordered for pick up. My food was just waiting at the table. No one in front to greet customers. I checked my order and realized the extra onion I wanted weren’t grilled. So found someone and they replaced. I got to my hotel and looked again they didn’t give me tortillas smh for fajitas and I can’t get anyone to pick up the phone must do better

Friday 10/18/24 Update (during lunch time)
I visited for a 3rd time. This experience was MUCH better in terms of attentiveness, quickness with receiving the food, and food accuracy.
Our waitress did end up disappearing around the time we were ready to pack up and pay, and it took a while for someone else to come over to tell us they were closing her tables out.
Friday 8/30/24 Update (during lunch time)
The food is delicious. The lunch portions are not filling (to me). The service is sloooooooooooow. They usually forget to bring somethings you ask for.
During this second visit, the person who ended up taking our orders didn’t know anything about the menu.
With a little more training on menu items and faster response time, this place could be very good.

My husband and I stopped in here for lunch and had a great experience. We will definitely be back. I have been a long time fan of El Charro’s but El Catrin has them beat and we now have a new favorite Mexican restaurant. Even the salsa was better. Our server, Joshua, was amazing, very friendly and personable. He did a great job keeping our drinks filled and making sure we didn’t need anything. The burrito I ordered was packed full of meat and had a really good flavor. They have a huge menu and I can’t wait to go back and try something else.
