What a delightful place for lunch! We came on the recommendation of a friend and were not disappointed.

Several nice entrees for vegetarians. My husband enjoyed the grilled cheese with pesto pasta salad as the side. I enjoyed grilled cheese with side salad. Our sandwiches were huge. Our server recommended the coconut cake for dessert, which my husband found delicious (I was too full to have any).

They have several wine flights to try. My husband really liked the red wines.

We loved the ambiance, too! This was a perfect break for us while touring the downtown sculptures.

It was my first time. I’ve seen the cute cafe before in passing but this was my first time dinning. From the funny sign outside to the moment I sent foot in the door, I got a relaxing vibe and it totally seemed like my kind of place. The walls covered with things you can buy, saved alcohols, cheese sections? And that’s all before you remotely step into the cafe. Going through the arch into the next part of the store, even while I was still looking, two amazing employees saw that we were about to step inside and my mom and I were warmly greeted and asked if they could help us.

We stepped into the arch into this beautiful area with a rustic bar look and high tables. Bottles of wine and art lining the outer walls, the art was so unique and beautiful! I couldn’t help feeling anything but relaxed.

There was one more layer to this beautiful cafe. We stepped through a lovely second archway as we engaged in delightful banter with the two employees, they were so friendly and helpful, giving us a great first impression of the place. Entering the cafe, you see a lounge area with comfy couches, chairs and a fireplace!

Cute tables filled with people and on the other side there were booths and high tables. The walls were surrounded by art, the lounge area had magazines and this is all before we even sat down to eat! We had a beautiful first experience but we were worried the food wouldn’t be as good as the vibes the place gave, I can happily say that we were very wrong. I had a few questions as I have a food allergy to gluten and about the teas, our server happily checked on it for me and didn’t make me feel bad or like I was wasting his time!

I asked for a job application and they highly recommended it and gave me the option to even fill it out there which I did. I ordered a three cheese quiche with a Greek salad that is highly recommend, not only did he guarantee it was gluten free? He also told the chef for me without me having to ask him to do so! I also learned they have gluten free bread, I’ll have to try it next time.

They didn’t rush us to finish or anything and checked on us in a way that felt like we were talking to a friend. Very friendly atmosphere. Other servers checked on us throughout the meal as well and made sure we had everything and were having a great experience. If you have food allergies, I’d highly recommend this place. It’s about nine minutes from the Pony Express Museum. Outdoor and indoor seating.

We got two meals with drink refills for $32, and the staff made sure it was worth every penny from start to finish. There’s probably cheaper options but I was more focused on the gluten free options. Their soda isn’t out of a machine, it’s a delightful can that adds to the experience when you hear the hiss of the can opening. I got the cranberry juice, personally. Their salads, some soups and quiches are gluten free. The glasses also have cool designs on them! In all? Great experience. Keep it up!

This was our first time at Felix Street Gourmet. Wine flights were fun and good. We had an Old Fashioned and Moscow Mule with dinner and both were very good. Spinach artichoke dip appetizer was great. For dinner my husband had the short rib flatbread and enjoyed it. I had the choice of two with the Felix house salad that was very good and the Felix House Panini that was a thumbs down for me. It had a weird flavor that I couldn’t pinpoint and tasted like it had canned chicken on it. Luckily, the other food filled me up. For dessert I had an expresso martini and my husband had the cheesecake. These were both really good. We also loved their huge wine selection and small gift shop.

It was my husband and I first time at Gourmet. So many good things to choose from, we ended up sharing each other’s food so we can try it all. Happy hour is great too. Perfect for a ladies day out. Definitely will be planning to come again.

The only thing I really have enjoyed from this restaurant is the three cheese quiche. It’s very good. Everything else is iffy. I had a piece of chocolate cake to take home. It ended up being completely inedible. Tasted like it had been baked two or three weeks ago. It was hard as a rock and dry. Very disappointing. On another occasion I had something they billed as a turkey Reuben. Terrible. On plain whole wheat bread, nearly no sauerkraut, no Russian dressing, and the wrong cheese. Nothing like a Reuben. Missing major important elements like rye bread, Russian dressing and sauerkraut. Finally asked for a side of horseradish to make it slightly palatable.

Update July 2025: Nope. No improvement. Why do they consider themselves “gourmet”? Nothing is gourmet. I had a grilled Panini sandwich today which had been only cooked on one side. The other side was wet and uncooked. The waiter took 50% off thankfully.

This is a beautiful place. The setting is lovely. But they never seem to have a real chef. Not even half a chef.

What a wonderful adventure! Cheeses, meats, wines, beers and unique mixed drinks welcome you to try a unique experience. And small meals or snacks add to the charm of downtown St Joe. Finding this was lucky and we will be sure to return!

Was a little disappointed with the menu, I had received a nice birthday email from them with the menu. However, when we got there, most of the items on the dinner menu were not available.

This is a very cute, trendy spot to have small plates and lunch.

Was a tad disappointed they were out of almost everything the night we went. But that just means they had been busy.
