You can tell its a local drive inn. Its full of construction workers at lunch time, sitting area looks a bit dirty and is reasonably noisy.
My chicken katsu curry tasted starchy like it needed to be cooked longer though the curry hit the spot. Mac salad was decent, right amount of mayo in it.
Looking for a cost effective local style restaurant and will make you full. Come here. Minis priced around of under $10.00, regulars are alittle more…around $17.00.
I got the special : Chicken Catsu and Ribs. The chicken was so good! The ribs were mediocre and wouldn’t get again, but the BBQ sauce on them was very good.
Got 2 pieces of Fried Shrimp (menu doesn’t show as side order, but just ask) and it was also very good!
Mac salad was good but it is everywhere here on Oahu, and comes with plenty of white or brown rice (just tell them which).
Definitely recommend.

The chicken and white rice were the only halfway decent things I had. The shrimp had no seasoning whatsoever. The macaroni salad was sub par. The fries didn’t have a grain of salt on them and were extremely inconsistent in texture. Some fries were unusually hard, and others shattered like plaster when bitten.
I have only had one experience with this place, but I feel these other reviews must be manufactured based on the lack of care that was put into my meal. Moreover, the chicken and shrimp that I ordered was the staff’s recommendation, so I had an expectation that it would be somewhat good. I was, however, sorely disappointed.
If you have plans to go to the Aloha Stadium, check it out! Right next to it!
This Local Girl only found this place out recently and it’s “Thee Spot” in the area!
Don’t let the name fool you!
This is my second time ordering the Ginger Chicken Plate within the past week.
Comes with 2 scoops rice and a scoop of mac salad but we subbed out the mac for extra rice, “YES!” & choke ginger, “Yes you heard me!”.
Let me tell you, they are very generous.
I absolutely love the balance of ginger to chicken ratio in every bite! And let’s not forget the Rice!
The portion is satisfyingly huge. And the ‘Regular’ is worth the amount you’re paying for.
Most importantly the flavor is Onolicious!
Another go to we couldn’t resist at a second round within the same week is the Hamburger Steak Plate with teri sauce!
It also comes with a great portion of 2 scoops rice and 1 scoop mac with 3 delicious homemade hamburger patties with a generous amount of teri sauce that has kikoman taste which is bomb.
Our son ate half the plate faster than usual, and that tells us how good it really is!
Anytime we’re near the Salt Lake area, trust me you’ll find us back here again! The price is good and the food is better!
