Our first time and celebrating our anniversary. Very nice spot with a great menu, and service. If Gio’s made their own pastas, it’d be THE go to place. However, it was still delicious!

Best Italian we have had to date in the area. The was crisp and the Italian sauces were divine. Our waiter was friendly and anticipated every need. We had veal piccata and shrimp scampi with salad and tiramisu. The space is small so we highly suggest reservations. We will be back often.

This is a very nice place for good quality Italian food. The service is great and very attentive. The ambience is really nice and sets a warm family like mood. I will say everything tastes great but the lasagna is out of this world! This was a great family dinner. Will definitely be back!

We love going to Gios as a family when we’re in Pawleys Island.
As wine lovers, we always order a bottle when we’re out together. This time we used the Sip Savvy app, which advises which wine to buy based on your preferences, value, and rating. I found that many of the bottles had a hefty markup of ~2x. We ended up only drinking our own Austin Hope we brought to the restaurant.
I got the Chicken Modena and subbed angel hair pasta for penne. It was great, came with 3 chicken cutlets. Plenty to take home for the next day.
Crowd favorite was definitely Mama’s Lasagna.
Can’t wait to be back next time with family!

Gio’s is always a great dining experience. We visit every year when we go to Pawley’s island. The lasagna is our favorite and the tiramisu is delicious as well! The service is always great. We’ve always had a great experience when visiting.

Our family finds Gio’s to be one of the most consistently delicious Italian restaurants in the Pawleys Island area. The service is good, it’s always busy, and in our opinion worth the wait. In the warmer months, be sure to specify whether you’d like indoor or outdoor seating. Entrées come with your choice of soup or a house salad. We’ve tried many dishes and have a few favorites: the Mozzarella in Carrozza with marinara, Italian Sausage & Meatballs over pasta, the Mediterranean salad with grilled chicken, the NY strip prime Angus with a side of pasta,Mama’s Lasagna, Chicken Parmigiana, Chicken Piccata al Limone e Capperi, and the Quattro Formaggio Ravioli (we prefer it without the basil, as it can overpower the flavors). The Fettuccini Alfredo is delicious, especially if you add grilled chicken and broccolini spears. For seafood lovers, the Spaghetti di Tornola with scallops, shrimp, and lobster claw meat in a light spicy marinara is excellent. Gio’s marinara sauce is stellar! Try to save room for their homemade tiramisu with espresso. Delizioso 5/5!

Excellent and cozy Italian Restaurant. Nice selection of wine, I chose the house cabernet sauvignon. For appetizers, we selected Burrata Caprese and fried mozzarella (Mozzarella In Carrozza). Entrees were Spaghetti all’ Amatriciana and Scallops Provencial. Dessert was tartufo (chocolate and vanilla gelato). Everything was excellent, including the service.
Second time there had burrata appetizer, shrimp Fra Diavolo special and linguini and clam sauce special. Again, everything was excellent.

Our group of 12 was in Pawleys Island for a golf trip last week, and the staff was kind enough to fit us in to eat at the bar. Our bartender served us, and he brought great energy, and made it an outstanding experience for all of us. I had the Pesca Del Mar, and it was amazing. Thanks again for accommodating all of us!
