One of My top 3 places for tender, flavorful and good carnitas ! They’re not super greasy and oily like most other places ++. $18 gets you a lb of carnitas, 8 homemade HUGE corn tortillas and the trimmings, $11 gets you all the above Except the tortillas. Their hard shell tacos and steak tacos are as well.
I would suggest, Do Not go when you’re starving and expect to eat quickly. Their service needs some fine tuning. They are very polite and even give you an item for free when they see you’ve been waiting long. Aside from that good place and will be back again!

My coworkers had me look around for a good place to eat close by to our job site found this place fed three guys with drinks kept the bill under 40 bucks. 3 burritos and a Gordita. Burrito was good and the Gordita was large. Sauces could be a little hotter but solid overall. Will definitely be coming back here

Visited a old homie who recently moved to Indiana. I wanted tacos, after a quick search I decided we check out a new place. Glad I chose this restaurant.. Food was really good, generously proportioned reasonably priced and they had great customer service… I will definitely be back!!

Passing by on my way to Chicago and I have to say they have very very good carnitas!!! Super nice service and the place is very cozy. I would definitely recommend and come here again.

Overall, service was not good because we were there first and the waitress took walk ins/pick up orders before us. We waited 30 minutes and we had little ones. The food was good so that is why it’s 4 stars but recommend they work on first come first serve.

I come in on a Sunday an hour and a half before close. I’m standing there for a few minutes because there’s no one to be found but a random patron. One person comes out and I’m telling them I’m trying to order. The guy leaves and then a girl pokes her head out the back with the rudest face and makes a head gesture for me to talk. No manners whatsoever. I tell her I want to order. She acts likes she can’t understand me and speaks to the patron in Spanish and he proceeds to tell me they’re almost out of everything. They didn’t try to offer me a menu, tell me what they actually had left so I could order. I’ve never been to a more unprofessional establishment than this one.

It’s 1045am… no waitress first of all, then I ordered cueritos and carnitas .. and guy says there no cuero.. what?! I’m in a whole carnitas joint…a month ago i came they had no carnitas by 1030am. What is going on ?! Or you order more pigs and waitress or you close it down. I know times are rough but get it together .. you have the customers because people were coming in but some are leaving upset. As im waiting I hear no gorditas now…. and tortillas a wait for 10 mins. Omg !

I had the carnitas and cueritos (skins) on homemade corn tortillas with cilantro and onions. They were AMAZING! Beans and rice were good too but I wanted tacos!! Friendly staff and great prices. They served me fried chicharrones instead of chips and salsa which was fantastic. I have found the hidden gem of Hammond!

The Carnitas are very good a lot of flavor and fresh they give you the options of regular tortillas or hand made tortillas. The place is very clean and they have great customer service. They have everyone in Northwest Indiana beat for carnitas. I recommend them 110%
