This pho place is kind of a hidden gem. It is tucked away in a small corner of a neighborhood shopping center, and there is no big obvious sign that screams “pho restaurant,” so it is easy to miss if you are not looking for it.
Let’s start with the environment and atmosphere. The interior is very pleasant and feels authentically Vietnamese. It has a warm, homey vibe and is bright inside. There are nice design touches, including a small fountain with lots of plants and a bar area with fruits on display. Overall, I really liked the space. It feels cozy and welcoming.
Service could use a bit of improvement. The staff were not the most attentive, but when they did come over, they were helpful and polite.
For drinks, I ordered the avocado shake. It was excellent. For the price, the serving is huge and very thick, which tells you they actually use a good amount of avocado. You can really taste it, and it is not overly sweet. Easily one of the better avocado smoothies I have had at a pho restaurant. I would rate the drink a 4.5 out of 5.
For food, I ordered the pho dac biet. It came with flank and several beef cuts, including meatballs, tripe, and tendon. The amount of meat was decent. Not the most generous I have had, but definitely not skimpy either. Some of the flank or steak pieces were a bit dry, but everything else was very good. The tendon was excellent, and the meatballs were on point.
The broth was the highlight for me. It was served very hot and had a subtle sweetness at the start, balanced nicely with saltiness that never became overpowering. What I really appreciated was the consistency. The flavor stayed the same from the first spoonful to the last bite, which is not always the case with pho.
My main issue was the noodle portion. For the amount of meat and broth, the noodles felt about 25 percent less than what I would have wanted. Adding a bit more noodles would really balance the bowl better. Another small downside is that sriracha and hoisin are not automatically on the table. You have to ask for them, and they mix it for you, so you cannot control the ratio yourself.
Overall, I would rate the pho a 4.2 out of 5. Taking everything into account, my overall experience lands at around a 4.3 out of 5. Since Google Maps does not allow half stars and I cannot round up, I am giving this place a solid 4 out of 5.
The grilled pork vermicelli bowl comes loaded with fresh herbs, crisp veggies, and that perfectly charred pork. The noodles were cool and crisp. Lastly, the generous drizzle of fish sauce rounded out the bowl, making each bite bright and layered.
The grilled beef & shrimp rice plate is super flavorful—juicy grilled beef with a hint of lemongrass, paired with plump grilled shrimp that had just the right snap. Served over fluffy rice with a side of greens and dipping sauce, it was a satisfying,
Also love the outdoor seating out front. It’s simple but perfect for relaxing with iced Vietnamese coffee on a warm evening.
Solid prices, fresh ingredients, and a laid-back vibe. Definitely a neighborhood favorite.
Banh mi sandwich – just like others. In fact, just so so.
Ice coffee – It’s premade, you didn’t have to drip and pour it in ice. Way too sweet. Flavor is Strong enough though.
Service – we requested 2 simple customizations, the waitress forgot both. Waitress asked what drinks do I want with the sandwich, I said I didn’t know it comes with drink and order ice coffee, ended up cost me $5.
The place is nice and clean. Presentable but that’s about it.
Frankly, for the quality and the price, not impressive.
The food is just amazing! I ordered the beef cube steaks for $19 and it arrived on a sizzling hot plate! Both the flavor of the beef as well as the Bell peppers, onions and garlic that went with it paired very well! Waiters came by often with lemon water.
I couldn’t say the same for the spring rolls, even though they were hot, it felt like it was lacking substance in its filling and the dipping sauce didn’t really help either…
The staff is very nice, and payment is very easy with tap to pay available. Overall, I like to come back to try more of the menu, but at these prices, it’s getting into premium territory so be sparingly about it along with the tip.
But I’m glad the doors reopened with new owners and an extensive menu.
Whenever I try a new Vietnamese restaurant, I tend to order the Vermicelli bowl with any grilled protein. The portions were large and beef stuffed with onions was grilled perfectly. On my next visit I’ll try their Bahn Mi’s!
