We haven’t been here for a while, but today I came to eat the hamburger.
The Highstrike Grill located inside West Seattle Bowling.
The menu was new and the burgers and sweet potatoes fried I always ate weren’t on the menu. But we chose the one I was interested in from the new menu.
We ordered 206 Burger and Tofu Burger.
All Burgers and Sandwiches served with choice of fries, tots, side salad, cider slow or grilled veggies.
206 Burger: marinaded local Angus, Monterey jack, Crispy onions straws, Bacon, Teriyaki graze, Alley sauce, Toasted brioche bun.
Tofu Burger: Pan seared teriyaki marinated Tofu, Sriracha soy straws, sweet chili aioli, Crispy wonton chips, Toasted brioche bun.
Both have a satisfying taste, and the tofu is a little sweeter but I enjoyed it.
The sweet potatoes fried was delicious before, but now they don’t have it, so when I ordered the fried with potato skin and the saltiness was just right.
You can enjoy bowling next door, and if you’re hungry, you can order food and a full-service lounge serving beer, wine, liquor, and soda.

Pet peeves: please provide utensils when people ordered takeout. 3 times now i didn’t find out till I got go my destination. Hard to eat a salad with my fingers. If it’s the restaurant’s policy to not give out utensils unless a customer asks then please ask the customer if they want any utensils during takeout order. And please provide ketchup when fries are involved. So deducting 1 star from my previous review.
We bowled at west Seattle bowl and outs a nice and convenient please to grab a bite. They usually have special of the month and they normally good. My all time favorites are their highstrike burger, the highstrike salad and the Rueben sandwich.

I have been coming to the High Strike Grill religiously since I moved W. Seattle 4 years ago. The burgers are great and I really do love the sweet potato fries. I was disappointed in the service 3 visits ago and with how my meal was cooked. I came back knowing that it was just a fluke. Oops, it was not. I happened a second time. I decided to try it again giving you another chance. Well, strike 3 your out. Service again was not up to par. Slow, too many comments blaming a number of things for why it was that the service was slow. It the Restaurant business you never make excuses. The service person should comment “what can I so do make your experience better?). My food was not as I requested again.. So sorry High Strike. Off to fine another place to satisfy my burger cravings.

They don’t have an extensive menu but what they do have is delicious! My friends and I went today, on a Sunday afternoon. I so craved pancakes but alas, they were only serving lunch and only until 3:00 p.m.
However! I ordered the Street Tacos with Chicken, one friend ordered Nachos, and the third friend ordered Quesadillas. They had dined here a lot so they were familiar with the menu. Sarah had trouble eating her nachos and ended up giving most of them to her husband and me. She thought there would be less cheese and sour cream on them. !! LOL. Her husband wolfed down his quesadillas in no time flat. I liked my street tacos but next time I’ll order the nachos. Wow, were they delicious. Lovely thin tortillas with lots of cheese and sour cream. No tomatoes, lettuce, olives, or anything else. Probably boring for most people but I thought they were great. My street tacos were too bland and the chicken was extremely dry. I could barely choke them down. The Italian soda was quite good as was my ice cream sundae. The seriously vanilla bean ice cream came from West Seattle’s own Husky Deli and was huge!

Our Family wanted to do an activity along with eating breakfast out for Mother’s Day. We chose to eat and bowl at West Seattle Bowl and we had group of 9 including 3 children. They do not take reservations on holidays so we arrived when they opened and the staff was great. They set up tables to fit all of us as well as we had friends that needed another table for 5. All of the wait staff paid so much attention to our group to make we were all happy. The menu selection for breakfast was good as well as a children’s menu and they also had some special morning alcohol drinks to enjoy with breakfast. All of our people were pleased with their food choices and the kids liked theirs as well. Well the add on was you get 2 free bowling games with each entree even the kids❣️We had made bowling lane reservations on line for after breakfast so this worked out awesome for our family on Mother’s Day !!!

Coming from the Midwest, I am constantly on the lookout for a classic diner with that small town feel. I suppose it helps cope with the homesickness and allows a moment where you can pretend the big city isn’t right outside. I came here looking for an inexpensive quality meal and was instantly transported back to Wisconsin. The old timey music, friendly service, low prices, and a portion built for a farmer. I instantly fell in love with this place. The food isn’t a culinary masterpiece, but it tastes like it’s homemade and that’s just what I needed. Thanks for the meal and thanks for being a classic oasis in a town full of over-the-top eateries.

Shambles would be decent without the baked beans… You may have tots eggs and 3 different meats in a huge pile… But all you taste is canned baked beans. I’ll give another star and $ to bring the country mess back. For two years this was my weekend morning treat. Decent service most times I’m here though, friendly staff. Was 5 stars before the shambles fiasco

It was ok… The potatoes O’Brien were crispy and delicious but the Benedict wasn’t what I expected. The ham was thin and the hollandaise was salty. My husband got French toast which he enjoyed along with sausage and bacon. I stole the bacon. Thick and crispy delicious!
