Tortas, tacos & other traditional Mexican staples served in a laid-back eatery with upbeat decor.

The fresh, hot chips and guac were good, but everything else was kind of disappointing. The meat (carnitas and asada) was a bit overcooked and the price was high for what we got. Nearly every entree is $12.99. Taking my kids, we quickly ran the bill up over $100. My whole family told me they would have preferred to walk next door to Costco for hot dogs over what their food tasted like.
The restaurant needs some updating too. It felt run-down and a little dirty. The lady that was ringing me up also tried to slide in a “refresco” in the middle of my order when I didn’t order a drink. When I asked her about it she quickly removed it and pretended she didn’t do anything. It could have been an honest mistake, but it felt like she was trying to slip in an extra charge without me noticing.

We ordered the Al pastor fries and 4 tacos. The Al pastor fries tasted good! I feel like it was a fairly small portion for $12. The tacos come with just meat and corn tortilla. They do have a little toppings bar. We ate in, the place could had have been cleaner but overall it was a decent place for authentic tacos

I should’ve turned around once I saw a toddler playing behind the counter, but I thought ‘i should stay as it seems to be a family run business.
This plate was just under $12, all the extras you put on yourself. However, you decide if it’s appetizing. I will say, without exaggerating that their green salsa had so much salt content I almost projectile-vomited. You can see the state of the self service bar, table cleanliness and floors.
The food was hot and cooked to order.

We bought 45 tacos (15 chicken, 15 steak, 10 Al pastor and 5 carnitas).
Pros: they made the tacos quickly, the meat tasted good, seasoned well.
Cons: a bit more expensive than we are used to (over $100) especially since most tacos we buy have limes, onions…These only had meat on the corn tortilla. Restaurant table tops were dirty.
Girl at the counter was super nice and helpful. Overall, the meat tasted good, but we probably won’t come back

My fiancé and I were craving Mexican food and decided to give El Coyote a try, but unfortunately, we left disappointed. I’m usually pretty easy to please, especially when it comes to Mexican food, but this place just isn’t it.
The pricing felt steep: three tacos, one order of carne asada fries, and one Hotcha (with no ice) came out to $29.17. The fries were basic and lacked salt, while the tacos were just okay. The salsa bar had some variety, but the salsa itself was average.
What stood out the most, though, was the atmosphere. The place seemed rundown and not very clean, with torn and worn-out cushion seats that definitely needed an upgrade.
Overall, it wasn’t the experience we were hoping for. I hope things improve, but as of now, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

The Coyote Charro probably has the best Al Pastor in the entire state. I would highly recommend the tacos, they are well worth the price. I am also a big fan of the bottomless pinto beans. Small detail, but the limes were really good, something I value at a Mexican restaurant. The food was so good I forgot to take a picture until halfway done, sorry. Excellent meal, and if you like Mexican you gotta check it out.

The food was ok, BUT the restaurant was filthy. The floor looked like it hadn’t been mopped or swept in a while. The booths’ upholstery was ripped badly & the tables and seats were dirty, like gross. Also, there were personal items laying on the food prep counter. (a purse, a stuffed animal & a personal coffee cup). Yikes, don’t think this place would pass a health department inspection.

Very good Al Pastor Fries! I stopped in between the lunch / dinner rush. Had no problem picking up my order to go.
The dining room could be cleaner; that’s the -1 star. Food/flavor is great.

I got the Asada Fries and they where amazing! I’ve never had Mexican food with French Fries and it is a great combination. They have a salsa bar with onions, cilantro and lemons. The service is slow and the restaurant feels like a dive but El Coyote Charro is worth the visit. I’ll definitely be back.

My husband and I have always loved El Coyotes food. It is sad to see how their restaurant is dirty and run down. But I still love their food and staff!
