We went here for dine out Boston and had an amazing time.
First they have some interesting drinks like the tamarind old fashioned, guava refresher, cooler and corn manhattan. All of them very great tasting and the bartender came by to check on us as well.
For the appetizers we had the yucca fritters, potato balls and arepas with cheese. Each one was delicious but a new waiter did mix up the orders leading to my friend eating gluten with allergies. This was immediately rectified by the staff and the front of house person made sure to personally deliver the rest of our food.
For the main course I count the chicken stuffed with rice and my fronds got the hanger steak. They were all amazing with substantial positions size. The complementary plantain chips had filled us up a bit.
For dessert we got the flan and passion fruit panna cotta. Both of those were a great finish to the meal.
Highly recommend people try it out and experience some exciting new flavors.

I had a great experience at Capricho Colombian Steak House. The food was delicious, full of flavor and beautifully presented. You can tell they truly care about both taste and presentation.
The atmosphere is tasteful and thoughtfully decorated, creating a warm and inviting space to enjoy a great meal. On top of that, the service was fantastic — attentive, friendly, and professional from start to finish.

This Upscale Colombian restaurant is putting out some pretty good food. The apps where really good and have a creative spin to some classic dishes. The encanto verde was guac with shrimp that also came with plantain chips for dipping, this was my favorite dish of the night. Other apps we had were the papa rellennas and the arepa con queso, both really good! For the main course, the NY strip was cooked perfect and the seafood in the seafood casuela was really fresh, I would recommend both. We also ordered a side of fried plantains that were crispy and delish. For dessert we had their version of obleas, I prefer the more traditional version but their was good too. The cocktails where equally tasty. No problems with the food or drinks here but I do think they have to work on their service. Not sure if the waiter was overwhelmed but he wasn’t responsive to any of our requests. Even to get a salt shaker seemed to be a problem. One of the two hostesses seemed to be having a really bad day and not friendly at all. Also I really think they should dim the lights to improve the vibe in there. The atmosphere gives off a hospital cafeteria vibe, very very bright and sterile. All in all the food was great, the service mid and the vibe not great.

Round 2 to celebrate my dad’s birthday. We had a 4pm Monday afternoon reservation and arrived early. They were very kind to let us in and seat us before their listed open time. Coming early on a Monday meant we beat the rush and had a private experience all to ourselves. By the time we left, it was quite buzzing.

Impeccable and warm service from Alejandro. Always a delight speaking with the owners Vanessa and Andres. This place is their baby and you can tell how much hard work and love has gone into this place.

Delicious food. Yummy drinks. Everything is fresh and prepared same day / made to order. The chorizo is made in-house. They don’t serve yesterday’s leftovers. Ingredients are tirelessly sourced for quality, freshness and cultural authenticity. Such a pleasure speaking with them about all that goes on behind the scenes.

Coming here is a very special treat – give it a try and it’ll be a night worth remembering.

…I also heard brunch is eventually coming!

Brunch is one of my favorite things, so when we saw Capricho was offering brunch we had to come check it out. The food and drinks were fantastic, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was enchanting. They have live music for brunch from 12-2!

Who doesn’t love a steakhouse or Colombian food?! I’m obsessed with both. The ambiance including seating, decor, and music set the vibe. My friend and I came here during Dine Out Boston and had an incredible meal and experience. Obe our server provided top notch service and everyone at the restaurant was warm and welcoming. We’ll be back soon!

We were excited to try this recently opened restaurant in our neighborhood, especially with the promise of Colombian flavors. While some dishes were good, others were disappointing. The octopus and seafood stews were very well cooked and tasted good. Everything was so tender and portions were substantial. The stew had a large quantity of shrimps, octopus, calamari and creamy potatoes. It can feed two people. The octopus appetizer was good and could have been better with a bit more acid. While these dishes were good, not certain that they were representative of Colombian flavors.

My husband had the strawberry mango salad and pork chop special. The salad was fine but nothing special. The mangoes were diced so small that it tasted only of the strawberry. The pork chop itself was a bit dry. The salsa mixture on top did not have much juice or sauce with it to give the chop any relief. The plantain mash underneath the chop was bland and also dry, so the whole dish just ate very dry. We were very disappointed with this dish, especially when it was touted as a special of the night.

While we only enjoyed half of our meal here, we think this restaurant has promise and that the food will improve over time. We appreciate the owners’ efforts in bringing new flavors to the neighborhood. Will come back to try other dishes.

I came here for my birthday. I couldn’t have picked a better place! Food and drinks are delicious, the space is warm and welcoming, and the service was amazing.
The server for our table was the kindest waiter I have ever had in my life. I don’t recall what his name is but he had red hair. He was so calming and nice and really cared about our time at Capricho. Thank you!

Fantastic dishes and amazing service. Great selection of appetizers: the encanto verde, yucca croquettes, and arepas were delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and the broth in the cazeula del Mar was incredible. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our large party on a busy Saturday night. 10/10!

This place is a GEM. Everything we tried was delicious, but the steak with chimichurri and the seafood stew were next level—the broth in that stew was UNREAL. Steak cooked perfectly, a beautifully balanced tamarind old fashioned, and now we’re already planning our return.
