Food the way it’s meant to be, homemade! We are a scratch kitchen that prepares most foods in house and to order. Some of the items we make in house include Biscuits, French Toast, and Potato buns. We grind and season our own sausage, sausage gravy, waffles, pancakes, pork belly, whipped cream, sweet cream cheese, tomato jam and continue to introduce new items. We are veteran owned and live in Copperas Cove, we are happy to be able to serve our community and provide the best breakfast in town (voted by the Leader Press:) We also offer lunch items from 11-3 including our house made burgers and House BLT with our own pork belly and awesome fries! Come in and join us today!

Found a breakfast place here in town. Was immediately greeted and seated. Waiter was very kind and accommodating.

Ordered a shared order of biscuits and gravy. For me, eggs over medium, crispy bacon, and a sausage patty.

Eggs cooked perfectly and tasted very good. 9 of 10.

Bacon was apple wood flavored(confirmed by owner), was crispy and very tasty. Perfect 10.

Sausage patty was about double the size of what I would expect. Overall about a 9.

Biscuits and gravy, not sure what it was missing. It tasted fine, but needed something. Would give it an 8.

Atmosphere was ok. I like that it is veteran owned and operated and they put out a great product. Lots of U.S.A. notes on the walls. Overall experience is a 9 out of 10. Would definitely go again, probably tomorrow morning in fact.

The inside isn’t much to look at, but the owners done a good job at dressing it up and making it quaint. The food was good. Watch out for the peppers on The Maria! They’ve got a real kick. I had a naked Jessica and the beef and bacon were really good. Get yourself a side (or 2) of the braised pork belly. Yummy. Service was genuinely wonderful.

Josh did a wonderful job making me feel like I was back home in Alaska as I dined alone. I haven’t been to a cafe here and while it was slow he took the time to make me laugh. Wonderful experience and I will be back!

We love going here as a family. They used to be called Something in Between. They have games on a shelf that you can play with your family while waiting for your food. The restaurant is always clean and the service is great! Our family especially lives the chicken, waffles, French toast, and the Big Tex.

Maria is the best! Food is amazing and really affordable. Favorite breakfast spot in central Texas. It’s so nice being able to play board/ card games before your food comes out.

Delicious food and excellent, friendly service. Lots of board and card games for guests to enjoy and even a small enclosed baby play area. Small town homey feel with positive, welcoming vibes.

I went with two other people, the inside could use some updating as the floor had spots where it was peeling and the table tops as another review said had just had peel and stick flooring added on top, but you’re there to eat so I didn’t mind it.
I got the pick three breakfast which was $8 and was a decent size. One of my friends got a junior burger which was I think $7 and the other person I was with got a specialty burger which looked almost identical to the junior burger which was $13. Fries do not come with the burgers so if you want them you have to order them separate but they gave enough fries that my friends were able to share them which was nice. Everyone in my group enjoyed their food, nothing to write an article about but it was good.
The waitress was very friendly and attentive the entire time we were there which was also a great plus.
Overall a decent place to eat with friendly staff and its nice to go somewhere that is veteran owned.
