I was researching some places that had sandwiches for lunch today and I’m thrilled I came across this place and was able to give it a try! Parking is tough but you should be able to find street parking without a long walk.

I knew the restaurant was small and was worried we’d have trouble finding a seat because of that. However, we were the only customers in there for a solid 10 minutes when we first arrived. The restaurant itself was adorable! Small but nicely decorated and furnished. I appreciated the stars on the ceiling.

The staff were friendly and gave us as much time as we needed with the menu before we ordered at the counter. I had the chicken empanadas and the shrimp poboy. The food came out quickly and was piping hot and fresh.

The empanadas were excellent. Great flavor and tasted high quality. I found them to be a little oily but that wasn’t anything a napkin couldn’t fix. The shrimp was cooked well and I liked the sauce it came with. Their bread was also super soft and tasted freshly baked. Definitely something I’d consider ordering again!

Overall, I’d definitely come back to the White Owl and would love to check out more things on the menu.

Had the best time coming here for the first time! Came during Sunday brunch hours and it was such a chill place. The service is amazing – super friendly and helpful when not sure what to get. Food is so good! We had the Korean Toast and the Birria sandwich. Both were amazing! Also- I can always respect a place that has a good house Bloody Mary and this place certainly does!

Tip- deff give the spicy house pickles a try. I don’t like pickles and these may have changed me.

Had a delicious meal here and can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend the birria sub, corn ribs, and waffle fries.

Also great selection of cocktails and beer, and a very chill environment. The tastiest meal I’ve had in Providence in a long time!

The crab fritters were very oily. I could only eat a few, the beignets were good, not very light or flaky, I enjoyed one. They are a bit filling. My friend got a burger and had to bring it back to have it cooked more. My friend who ordered the bread pudding said it was good. She ate all of it. It looked heavy and yummy. The menu is limited but offers the opportunity to try new things.

Great little spot for a quick lunch. We stopped in for a small bite after the farmers market. Food was fabulous, and the beers were great too.

Great addition to Hope St. Simple, delicious menu. Nice, casual space, very welcoming atmosphere. Cool drink menu with different options. We had the corn ribs, Dan Dan noodles, and bread pudding. All three were delicious and would recommend. Next time, we will have to try the Beignets.

Hands down the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever eaten. Ever! The chicken was juicy and tender, the crispy breading had complex and delicious flavors. The pickled veggies brought the sweet with heat. I found myself taking smaller bites to make the experience last longer.

The loaded tater tots came with queso and a fried egg on top. Mind blown! And let me tell you, these people know how to use seasoning! Every bite was scrumptious.

Can’t wait to return. Next time I’ll take pictures before I eat my food.

I don’t say this lightly…I’m back again to say this place serves the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside, nestled in a bun that somehow manages to be both hearty and soft. Every bite was a masterclass in balance for seasoning, texture, and pure comfort food.

But it doesn’t stop there. The side of pickled vegetables are tangy, spicy, crisp, and thoughtfully composed. Not an afterthought, but a bright, palate cleansing complement that elevates the entire meal.

As someone who appreciates gluten free options, I was impressed by the expanded selections here. It’s clear they’ve gone beyond the bare minimum with breads and batter that don’t taste like compromise, but like real food crafted with intention.

And let’s talk about the Po’ Boy. Absolute perfection. They nail it! Flavorful fillings, on gluten free bread, and that New Orleans soul in every bite.

This place isn’t just good, it’s destination-worthy. A must visit for sandwich lovers, gluten free foodies, and anyone who knows greatness when they taste it.
