Update- I’ve now eaten in there a few times, service is always quick and freshly made. Several blue bunny ive cream options available. Including bunny tracks which is my favorite and hard to find.
Called ahead and ordered to go. Ready in 5 minutes and perfectly made. Just became our favorite taco place.
Meat wasn’t dry, salsa was chunky and definitely tasted homemade. The chips were a little on the burnt side but hey that shows they make em. So I’m gonna chalk that up as not a big deal. Can’t wait to go back.

I really wanted to give this place more stars, because their horchata was pretty darn good. The elote tasted and looked like canned corn. I haven’t had much elote, but from my experience it’s better on the cobb and I had different seasoning. (Both, my wife ordered) My dish had a lot of cilantro on it, I guess it’s not what I was expecting. In their defense it also had what was probably over a pound of chicken? I couldn’t really taste the chicken, but it looked good. I will not let one bad experience deter me from going back to improve and update my review, but again… I’m not sure what to expect. I did try to power my way to the bottom, and I do know that the lady would have corrected any issues I had with the food, so don’t let my 3 stars deter you. Just be specific with your orders and I think, (from other people’s reviews) that the food will be good. And by the way. Bring cash for a tip… I left mine on the card… wish I had cash because it would have been nice to tip that little girl who was helping out.

HORRIBLE customer service! Every bad review I have read is accurate. The reason they don’t complain in person is because the customer service is so bad. I don’t appreciate dirty looks and a bad attitude. A few reviews below someone complained of a bad torta. And the owner reply is along the lines of “well you ate the whole thing” . another review talks about the bad customer service and it’s accurate. To top it off the food here taste old. I’ve had plenty of corn on the cob and this was by far the most crunchy over cooked old corn I’ve had. The food is no better.

The food is filthy, and taste really bad. I believe every negative comment was left in here as it is 100% true. The big Lady has no customer service whatsoever either, very bad attitude towards my kids that were playing around. I hope she will not send me a comment saying the same answer to whoever comment bad about her jaja she does not remember what day or what we ordered and she will give my $20 back!! We spent it over $75 and we regret it!

I am ADDICTED to this place! The BEST authentic Mexican food around hands down! Immaculately clean, the service is exceptional, I’ve pretty much adopted Sandra’s daughters as my own, and always feel pampered and spoiled whenever I dine in, but it is excellent to go as well 🙂

I moved here from Illinois a town called west Chicago and let me tell you I have ate some of the best Mexican food!!! And have learned how to cook it all!!! I missed it so much moving here I happen to try this place and I know there is a few places in town , this by far is my go to place!!!! The tortas are out of this world!!! They are always HUGE and have tons of meat!!!! Definitely worth every penny!!! The meat is perfectly cooked and not too salty! , my husband and my kids love it as well. I try to eat here at least once a week. I have held many conversations with the owner and she is so sweet! One thing I ask please please make chili rellenos I hate making them at home and I’m the only one who eats them! lol! Thanks for all you do!!!

The BEST authentic food ive had anywhere local. Everything was cooked properly. Salsas actually had a good heat unlike most around. Cup of corn was perfect. Super friendly family environment tucked away on the skirts of ottumwa. Will be going again and bringing others along. 10/10.
