This place caught my eye from across the street and i had to stop in and try it. I’m so glad i did, i will be going back again today! The inside is very cool, great decor and booths to sit in, the workers were very nice and helped me decide on what to get, even let me order a barbacoa burrito which I didn’t see on the menu. It was so delicious and my friend loved her steak tacos, they looked so good. I live in Ohio and am visiting Illinois but I wish we had one of these where I live. The verde sauce in the bottle was so delicious, very quick service too. I want nothing but the best for this restaurant and the people who work there!

Well in the surrounding area lots of competition in the mexican food business
We have tried alot of them .
Unfortunately not impressed..
Pros…close to home
Green sauce in the bottle was very good
Horchata was good n decent price
Cons…over priced , for quality and quantity.
Steak tacos , meat was dry
Rice very dry apparently not enough turn over and it must be sitting under a light
Sour cream on the side was crazy small ( see pics)
Limes thrown in the beans.( see pics)
Enchiladas were tangy, The sauce was different.
Beans were literally whipped like baby food.
Still using beef villa trays etc everything is still beef villa colors and seats so the atmosphere was very weird. I really dont care but its a review question so.
For a Family of 4 , not everyone was able to get a side of rice n beans, alacart is the way they go ( see menu pic) bill was over $61 bucks.
As close as I am I would only stop back for the horchata..
May try again in the far future

We stopped by recently after just discovering that Carnitas 3 Hermanos was open, and we are so glad we did! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Ordering was genuinely fun, and it honestly felt like hanging out with them while we waited for our food. You can tell they enjoy what they do, and that energy fills the whole place!

They did a fantastic job refreshing the restaurant from the prior owners. It feels clean, bright, and really cute. The new look makes you want to come back again and again! And the food was fantastic. Fresh, flavorful, and exactly what we were hoping for! It is such a win to finally have great Mexican food so close to home. It is affordable, convenient, and perfect for grabbing dinner on the way home without spending a fortune.

I also love that it fits real life. You can sit and eat if you want, but the drive-thru makes it incredibly easy on busy days! The family that owns it is wonderful. Super friendly, fun, and clearly invested in the neighborhood.

We are so excited to have them here and will absolutely be back often. Welcome to the neighborhood!!!

It was first time I visited Carnitas 3 Hermanos in South Elgin.
I ordered two pork tacos Mexican style, with a bottled water, my two companions ordered three pork tacos Mexican style, with cokes.
The pork was seasoned very well, with generous portion size.
Neither of my companions spoke English very well and I don’t speak Spanish at all, but the young man taking the order was very gracious/helpful and helped them with their orders.

If I’m ever around South Elgin, I will make an effort to stop in again.

I would highly recommend Carnitas 3 Hermanos to anyone in the South Elgin area that was looking for good Mexican food at a reasonable price.

Was very interested in trying this place!
Overall I really enjoyed my tacos.
I got 3 tacos dinner
1 carnitas 1 barbacoa 1 steak
The young man at the front was very nice and made sure to ask if I wanted just meat or the fat and skin when ordering my carnitas taco ❤️
The carnitas yummy juicy and seasoned well
The barbacoa was good but nothing crazy
The STEAK taco highly recommend it was the best, juicy and full of flavor. There was some fat in there but that doesn’t bother me.
The tortillas seem homemade, very yummy!
I wouldn’t get the rice and beans again, but I didn’t go there for that. The fries however were unexpectedly very good! I’d go there just for the fries!
I like that the red salsa wasn’t too spicy and added that extra yum to my tacos.
Try it!

I came here with my girlfriend and ordered a torta dinner. The rice is hard and the beans are nasty. They absolutely over toasted the bread, it feels like a rock. And they don’t add sour cream and cheese to their tortas, you have to add both for 75 cents each… every Mexican place I’ve been to comes with cheese and sour cream on their tortas. Very underwhelming. The carnitas are at least tasty but everything else was trash.

I had an amazing experience at Carnitas 3 Hermanos! The food was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and authentic. Their carnitas were perfectly tender and juicy, and the portions were super generous. You can really taste the quality and the love they put into their cooking.

The staff and cashiers were friendly, welcoming, and made the whole visit feel warm and personal. The restaurant was clean, organized, and had a great family-style vibe.

If you’re looking for delicious, authentic carnitas and great service, this is definitely the spot. Highly recommend! I’ll definitely be coming back again.

Honestly, Carnitas 3 Hermanos was so good. The food was amazing, super flavorful, fresh, and everything tasted like it was made with a lot of care. I was actually surprised by how fast everything came out. Miguel and Lázaro were both on it the whole time. They were really fast getting the food out to us and made sure we had everything we needed.

I love when a place has great food and great service, and that’s exactly what happened here. The vibe was good, everyone was friendly, and you can tell they take pride in what they do. I’d definitely go back and recommend it to anyone who wants good carnitas and just an overall great experience.

This is THE spot for sure! What really makes this place stand out is the atmosphere. You can tell they care about their customers. The service is warm, the energy is welcoming, and the food always hits the spot. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or sitting down with friends and family, you’re going to leave satisfied.

If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food made with pride and tradition, I highly recommend giving Carnitas 3 Hermanos a try. This is the kind of restaurant you end up coming back to again and again. A major shoutout to the cooks in the back and the front clerk for making me feel welcomed

Ok first of all the Asada was the best taco I have had in the Chicago suburbs. Miguel was super friendly and guided me in all the right directions. The horchata was delicious and not overly sweet (good balance). Both the sauces were amazing and Miguel’s Mom makes those, you can taste the love! Don’t be scared to try both sauces they are gringo friendly and I love that they aren’t overly spicy so they compliment the meats onion and fresh cilantro. I wish I lived closer, good job guys!
