Things must be picking up from opening week. The food is delicious and on time! Well spiced and a huge variety of menu options. One of the most interesting being the raw beef skewers, possibly the most tasty thing on the menu. The prices are just right 🙂 Make sure to get there early since it gets packed rather soon 😉

Well decorated Chinese restaurant. We ordered the 2 orders of lamb skewers, grilled pig feet, grilled fish. They were all very tasty. This restaurant is a little bit pricey. Plenty parking spaces in the garage and I think the first two hours is free.

Absolutely amazing Chinese BBQ in Maryland. Very elegant and welcoming spot. Servers are friendly and attentive. Many choices of meat, veggie and seafood BBQ skews. The food is delicious , the meat is high quality and reasonably priced. I recommend it with no hesitation.

Could someone tell me if these two squids are the same thing? Very weak in flavor, too salty to taste any other flavors like cumin. We all know restaurants got hit during COVID, but this is too embarrassing. Recommend those in New York. Will not order from this location in several months hope they could improve …

Fair overall. Unlike other reviewers, the service experience we had was very good (a Sunday around 7pm). I wasn’t wowed by the menu, the tastes or the portions (small!) and in general every single type of meat skewer we ordered tasted almost the same…because they coat (smother!) it in cumin or some spice that is very similar. It was this overpowering flavor that made it difficult to distinguish the taste of the pork belly vs the beef vs the chicken…And everything we ordered seemed to be, by default, spicy (even after requesting mild).

The Worst Chinese restaurant in Rockville! Everything tasted the same: super salty and no flavor. Except the grilled pork feet tasted as sweet as desserts and the Cantonese styled chicken feet tasted as bitter as Chinese medicine.
Ma La Tang came out as a bowl of soup instead of skewers dipped in the broth. The beef balls in it had an off taste that were not fresh.
The only edible items in our $200/6 person were: salty egg yolk rice cake, deep fried pork strips, pork belly skewers, calamari skewers. They were very salty, but at least they tasted fresh and flavorful.
We paid about $35 each among the 6 of us and were hugely disappointed.
The menu on their website looks very impressive but is from the previous owner they say so of course not being offered at the restaurant . A lot of items on the menu they gave us were not available. No liquor license either.

Price are a little on the high side but it’s the best authentic Chinese skewer place I’ve had thus far in MD. Great flavor, solid heat on the pepper flakes. Tinfoil bbq also good. I’ll be back to try other dishes

I went to the shop and ordered a lot of BBQ since I wanted to try them out, but after finishing my order, I still had a decent amount left. I asked the server to give me a few take out boxes so I can bring the rest home. When I filled everything up in the boxes, it was overfilling, the server asked to take it into the kitchen to help package it. After coming out, the food was not overfilling anymore, there was no extra boxes or anything. I just suddenly lost all of the “over filling” food that I had on top, now the box was like only 3/4 of the way full. Yeah…
