Truly the BEST sushi in Fremont. Went in there with no wait. Atmosphere and vibes are top notch. I ordered the Salmon Lover, Caterpillar roll and mussel. Everything was amazing. Especially love the Salmon lover platter. Would go back to try more items since they are rolling out more sushi rolls soon.

Went here for a quick sushi “snack”. So bf ordered salmon dinner with salmon avo, sockeye salmon, king salmon, seared salmon belly and spider roll. To my surprise everything was good and fresh. Good place for a quick stop. Everyone here made me very comfortable and they are nice too. Definitely will come back here more often to try other menu.

It was a truly amazing dining experience. I recently visited with my family, and it certainly will not be our last visit. The food was incredibly delicious and offered excellent value. We were particularly impressed by the quality of the fresh seafood and sea urchin. I also had the pleasure of meeting the manager, who was exceptionally kind and clearly passionate about his work, paying attention to even the smallest details, such as sourcing fresh ginger and preparing it himself. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment, and the service provided by the hospitality team was delightful. It is definitely a must-visit destination.

Bumped from 4 to 5 stars, since I came back and had a better experience.
The chirashi don was amazing!! Lots of variety of generously portioned fish, and EVERY aspect of the dish was so well thought out.
– I appreciate how the base is half rice half veggies. For the first time, I finished the fish and rice in a don at the same time, and didn’t feel guilty about not consuming veggies
– Good choice in which fish to aburi and add toppings to 🙂
– There are usually a couple of items in each chirashi bowl that I don’t enjoy very much (usually mackarel and octopus). But somehow ALL the items today tasted good.
– The shrimp was so flavorful and juicy and pretty!
– Even the tamago egg was unique. It tastes like cake with lots of egg yolk I saved most of it for the end
This was absolutely the most satisfying sushi meal I’ve had in Seattle!

Cons:
– Crab roll barely had any crab, and also had shell pieces inside. I’d rather they give 6 pieces instead of 8, but with a better crab:veggie ratio
– Some dishes took a very long time to come out on a previous visit when the restaurant wasn’t empty. I ended up cancelling the unmade orders after ~30 mins of waiting.

We’ve been visiting this place since its soft launch and have gone over four times. I feel I can finally leave a solid review now. Our favorite spot is the bar. The chefs usually provide a small bite on the house, and it’s fun to observe how they hustle. Our favorites are the negitoro, Fremont roll, emperor roll, I love salmon, dragon roll, and the seared salmon nigiri ✨
I will say they get pretty slammed and it’s only two chefs preparing all the sushi, so be patient.

The best sushi in Fremont! Super fresh nigiri (get the seared fatty tuna and salmon belly!) and great speciality rolls. It’s become our go-to takeout sushi spot but we just tried dining in and it was amazing too! Really nice service and fast!

It’s all so good, but I highly recommend the various types salmon nigiri — sockeye was my favorite.

This is an incredibly delicious sushi place! Top quality fish that melts in your mouth and fresh ingredients, complimentary miso soup when most places you have to pay extra, great service, and fair prices for the quality. We will be going back many times! They also have a good selection of Japanese alcoholic beverages.

Fantastic experience at Sushi Taiyo. The nigiri are a standout — generous portions and high quality cuts of fish. The king salmon, yellow tail, and prawn were particularly delicious. Service was lovely and attentive. Definitely a great addition to the Green Lake area. Can’t wait to come back and try even more items 🙂
