edit: came back and again, so good! Absolutely loved the poke bowl and micki’s roll.
To start off our meal, we ordered the appetizer known as the “Three Amigos” along with a side of their renowned queso. Let me tell you, the queso was nothing short of top-notch. Creamy, rich, and bursting with flavor, it set the perfect tone for the meal to come. The fried jalapeños were also a highlight; they were perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, and full of spicy goodness that complemented the queso beautifully.
For our main course, my wife chose a sushi roll along with some tacos, while I opted for two sushi rolls. The portions were impressively generous; in fact, I was amazed at the size of the rolls. We both ended up needing takeout boxes to bring the leftovers home, which, let me add, was no small feat since we both thoroughly enjoyed what we had.
When it comes to pricing, TakoSushi offered reasonable rates that aligned with our expectations for a dining experience at such a nice establishment. Given the quality of food and the comfort we felt during our visit, we found the prices to be quite fair.
As for beverages, I was particularly excited to try the Flight of Hot Sake, which provided a unique tasting experience for only ten dollars. This selection allowed me to sample four different types of sake, each with its own distinct flavor profile, and I must say, I enjoyed every single one. It was a fun and interesting addition to our meal.
I look forward to our next visit!
We ordered several rolls, all of which were fresh and well-prepared. The Crazy Roll (also called Kevin’s Roll) and the Unforgettable Roll stood out the most—balanced flavors, good texture, nothing overdone. The seaweed salad was fresh, and the fried wontons came out crisp with a solid dipping sauce.
The dessert was light and not overly sweet, which worked well after sushi.
Prices are reasonable for the quality. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area or don’t mind a short drive.
Well done. The sushi was delicious and they were on top of it with the drinks.
