My son and I just enjoyed the most delicious meal at Munay Restaurant. From the moment we were seated, the service was top-notch. Our server was incredibly attentive, letting us know that the kitchen was busy and kindly apologizing for a possible delay. This brief wait actually worked in our favor, as it gave us time to research and learn about some of the unique dishes on the menu.
When the food arrived, it exceeded our expectations. We started with two refreshing beverages: the Chicha Morada and the Maracuya. Both were bursting with flavor and perfectly complemented our meals.
My son ordered the Señorita Pollada, a marinated chicken dish that’s fried, glazed, and served with potatoes and a house salad tossed in a lime vinaigrette. He loved the flavors, though we found the chicken to be slightly dry—likely due to the kitchen being busy that evening. I had the Pasta Huanca, featuring Pappardelle pasta in a rich huancaína sauce topped with beef tenderloin stir-fry. It was absolutely cooked to perfection, and the combination of textures and flavors was outstanding.
Despite the busyness of the kitchen, the service was terrific, and the food was overall delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to coming back for another great experience!

My wife and I had a fantastic Valentine’s Day dinner at Munay. Their special was an amazing four course dinner with some of the best Bruchetta we’ve ever had, veggie bisque, we split an outstanding Filet Mignon with mashed potatoes to die for and some of their pesto pasta, and finally had a fun chocolate mousse/white chocolate shell dessert that with what seemed to be spun sugar that they lit on fire.
The staff were fantastic, welcoming, and quick.
The ambiance was fun Valentine’s Day hearts and pseudo candles in a warm environment.
Overall, it was an outstanding experience and we can’t wait to return soon.

5 stars is not enough! The food is amazing!
And the service was great!
The empenadas are the best you’ll ever have. The anticuchos are amazing, and I highly recommend the pasta huanca! My wife always gets the Lomo Saltado. My kids love it all, especially the ceviche.

The ceviche was amazing, the mix of flavors has a beautiful blend of citrus, sweetness, and spice. The fried rice pyramid was good, it would have been nice to have a little more of the great marinated meat that came with it. Portion sizes were just right, definitely left full, but satisfied. Presentation was very inviting.

Well, I feel very sad of doing this but I feel I need to do it since it’s not the first time going through this situation.
The food it’s pretty good! Nothing bad to say about it so far, BUT the lady who’s always There ( the waitress) had a very bad attitude in front of me and my daughters. Once I payed the check, I let her know and she noticed that I left her a tip (it was not the amount that she expected to be) and she started nodding her head in a complaint way when she saw the tip. And then, we felt really bad and we couldn’t even finish our food because she literally looked at us like she we weren’t welcome there. Unfortunately, after this we will not return to this restaurant. Kinda sad since this was one of my favorite Peruvian places to eat with my family. If you can, (this isn’t obligatory) please get someone nicer who will actually appreciate their costumers to take her place. It would make a big change and I would feel like coming back again…

Real authentic Peruvian food is hard to find. But we found it here. The prices are a little high but I didn’t mind considering the great food we received. Papa la huanca was AMAZING. The pasta hunch was equally as delicious. They appear to be starting out still and getting their footing with customer service expertise but, everyone was very nice still and I’m very excited to welcome them to the Simi Valley foodie scene. When my family visits from Peru next month we will be bringing everyone there. My compliments to the chef!

Was in Peru recently and loved the food so thought I would try our local Peruvian restaurant. The food is authentic, expertly prepared, and delicious. The “staff” are the female owners of the restaurant (for the most part) and they are super nice and very willing to explain the dishes available. I will definitely be going back! I just wish they served Pisco Sours! 🙂

Highly recommend the chicken and empinadas. The fried rice had SO MUCH shrimp. The Ceviche was perfect, and served with perfect little slices of yam. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We’ll be back. (Don’t forget about dessert)

This was such an incredible meal and I wish I could eat it again just minutes after finishing. The staff were so lovely and helpful when me and my friends were picking our dishes. Not pictured but definitely worth your while to get the chichi morada for a beverage!
My friends got the Don Lomo Saltado and Senora Chaufa. I got the Senorita Pollada. All of these were amazing and I will definitely be going back
