Our waiter, Samuel, was the best guy. Personable and his jokes did not miss! We noticed that all the staff were nicer than some of the other places we’ve been to lately, no matter who they were interacting with.
And of course the portions and quality of the food and drink were great. It was the quietest our picky eater has been during any lunch out, she was invested in her kid’s steak and rice.
Oscar’s is definitely getting added to our rotation.

Absolutely amazing food with killer prices. It’s very rare, as a family of six, that we eat somewhere and feel like we got a DEAL. Oscar’s is 100% the real deal on authentic Mexican food with great family pricing. The adult beverages are on point and VERY reasonable as well. Highly reccomend the fresh Guac. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Review posted after our third visit!

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Owensboro! The food is fresh, and delicious! I have made several trips and have NOT been disappointed. This place gets busy on the weekends, but trust me it is worth the wait.

I ordered OSCAR’S STEAK today. It is a ribeye steak with 3 fried eggs, fresh onion, a grilled Jalapeño, and avocado slices. Also comes with beans, rice, and 3 flour tortillas. This may be my new go-to meal. It was !!! Sorry I forgot to take a photo of this meal. It is a must try…..They also have some of the best chips and salsa in town.

We are from Etown and our buddy Jeff, told us that Oscar’s was the best Mexican food he’s ever had and that the owner takes pride in his food and service and actually cares about the customers and their experience. From the fresh chips and amazing flavor of the salsa(it has a kick and isn’t basic salsa) to the sweet tea that doesn’t taste like dirty leaf water, my food was amazing! I was going to get tacos carne asada because that’s what it’s called at every Mexican restaurant I ever go to but the waiter pointed at the street tacos when I was explaining my modifications of the meal and I didn’t even see that on the menu because I was looking for key words that are on the other restaurant menus I’ve seen. He saved the night by doing that because they were exactly what I was wanting and they were the best I’ve had in Kentucky. I’m from Arizona so I take Mexican food seriously. I’d make the long drive every week to experience his food, himself and his employees. I recommend this place 100%.

This is literally the best Mexican food in Kentucky. We have tried them all, and Oscar’s is the best. We drive 35 miles one way just to eat here. Today I had the Blue Ridge Burrito. This thing is massive and so full of meat and rice that it was over flowing. It was absolutely delicious. My wife got the taco salad and she says hers was the very best she has ever had. We can’t say enough good things about Oscar’s.

Great atmosphere and vibe, and the chips and salsa came out quickly. Service was slow after that, and my tacos with grilled veggies were overcooked and lacked flavor. The rice and beans were good, but overall the experience was just okay.
