We came here on a Monday afternoon to meet with friends. We were greeted by George who was very welcoming. The food was amazing sorry I didn’t take photos. The menu choices were very hard to choose from they all sounded delicious! What we chose didn’t disappoint. We thought it was fairly busy for a Monday which goes to show this restaurant has many loyal customers. Price wise we thought it was excellent value for money and we will be returning. Thank you George and your team

Great meal tonight . First time trying this restaurant and we were very impressed. Food was very tasty with plenty of choice. We chose this restaurant based on them having lots of positive online reviews.

Had a great meal here for 4 – we had the 5 course menu, with a bit of everything. The food was fantastic and came quickly after we ordered. I would highly recommend having the platter, as you get a good taste of lots of different dishes. Plenty of food, and the strawberry mix drink was really nice. The staff are great and very friendly, and there is a nice atmosphere inside. Good for couples, small groups and larger groups. Will be going again for sure.

I know I’ve said this before but hands down the best curry I’ve ever had! And I have a few I didn’t recognise any of the dishes on the menu so took me a while to order as it all sounded so good. In the end with the help of the waiter I went for grandmas lamb curry with mushroom rice, some potato side and the flat bread. When the bread came, I looked at thinking I’m not going to enjoy that. Not my normal, Oh my god was I wrong. Amazing I would give it 10 stars if I could.

A large family group visit to Koinonia at Diwali to celebrate a birthday on a Sunday lunchtime. We all had the Diwali set menu including the child with us. We had a warm friendly welcome into the nicely decorated restaurant and the staff were all dressed in beautiful cultural clothing. We were seated and offered drinks promptly. Staff came to speak to us about gluten free changes/options for one of our diners and shortly after our food started to arrive. Wow absolutely amazing, each course was generous in portion size, looked fabulous, smelled unbelievably good and tasted fantastic. We were all thrilled with our meals and the cost was very competitive, drinks were fairly priced, 0% Cobra was also available for the drivers amongst our group. We would all highly recommend a visit to Koinonia it’s a gem of a restaurant in the centre of Newark on Trent with plenty of nearby parking options

OMG I had the Octopus Delight off the specials board, and it was THE BEST octopus I’ve ever had… and I’ve ate a few! Other half also enjoyed his beef mallibar I even got him to try the Octopus, anyone would have thought it was a bush tucker trial but he said it was ‘OK but a bit fishy’ trust me that’s a good review for him, he did love his beef though

Great little Indian restaurant.
We went as a group of friends one evening as a catch up. I had the Biryani and was so good. Tasty, large chunks of chicken and the accompanying curry was so tasty. I had the fish starter special, again really nice and would suggest it’s a little like the inside of a good quality fishcake without the batter.
Great service, swift and attentive. My friends has the butter chicken and chicken mehini (spelling) special. Lots of empty plates and satisfied smiles.

Very enjoyable meal with friends. Attentive staff who were happy that we stayed nearly 3 hours. Food from South India was different from most Indian restaurants which made a change and was delicious.
