Tried Elliot Craft Kitchen for dinner and overall had a really nice experience. The place is still fairly new so it was a little on the quiet side, but the atmosphere is modern and comfortable. Our server was fantastic, friendly, attentive, and really made us feel welcome.

The sizzling shrimp appetizer was a standout, delicious and full of flavor. For my main, I ordered the fish and chips and wasn’t really a fan, just didn’t hit the mark for me. However, I also tried the Black and Blue Burger and loved it, great flavor and cooked perfectly.

Even though not everything was perfect, the good service and solid dishes made it a positive experience. I definitely plan to come back, especially to try their brunch!

New spot tucked away deep in restaurant park. This area has been here as long as I can remember. Elliott’s is a new gem that we plan to revisit. The food was delicious (tagliatelle bolognese and the brussels were superb, ribs were fall off the bone), craft cocktails were exquisite and the service was perfect. Thankyou Jeff and Patrick for being so attentive. We are looking forward to trying that carrot cake cocktail in the making on the next trip. Obviously bravo to the chef- you are truly talented. Oh and the creme brulee..chef’s kiss. My family were all impressed. It was a great birthday thanks to you.

Amazing experience! The service, the food, and the ambiance were all 10’s! Some of my favorite items were the ribs definitely the best I’ve had in a while. The meat was falling right off the bone, and the hint of sweetness from the brown sugar was perfect. I also really loved the sizzling shrimp, although everything I tried was fantastic.

The owner Chef Ryan was so kind and hospitable, and our waiter Tori was equally awesome both truly elevated the experience. They also offer a great happy hour, which makes it even better!

Highly recommend!

Amazing addition to the area. Parking is ample! Happy hour can’t be beat. Enjoyed several dishes and a Happy Dad, my favorite seltzer!

Mussels (amazing happy hour deal) – broth was amazing, cooked to perfection. The portion was way more than expected.

Pork Ribs (another amazing happy hour deal) – when people say fell off the bone, they are setting the bar low. These fell off from the flash on my camera. Also weren’t messy without comprising any flavor.

Pork Schnitzel – came recommended and didn’t disappoint. This was out of this world, and again a huge portion.

Overall: great vibes (thanks Patrick for holding it down like a pro behind the bar), UNREAL HAPPY HOUR PRICES, I find it hard to match a good drink with good food for a reasonable price. This is my new go to spot.

Brunch at Elliott’s Craft Kitchen: A Promising Start With a Few Missed Beats…

I recently visited Elliott’s Craft Kitchen a fairly new spot that my group of four decided to try out for brunch. We were hoping for a fresh experience, but our visit turned out to be a mixed bag.

Ambiance and First Impressions…

When we arrived, the restaurant was surprisingly empty, which was a bit of a head-scratcher for brunch time. Even though we could hear staff chatting in the back, it took a good five to eight minutes before anyone came out to seat us. Once we were seated, we noticed the lighting was so dim that we actually had to whip out our phones just to read the menu. Not exactly the cozy brunch vibe we were hoping for.

The Food: Hits and Misses…

On to the food. We started with the cream of crab soup, which was just okay—nothing to write home about. The Brussels sprouts were a bit of a letdown. They were tiny and mostly just fried leaves rather than the hearty sprouts we expected. So if you’re imagining those classic roasted Brussels sprouts, this wasn’t it.

The chicken and waffles were decent in flavor, although the presentation could have used some polish. The pita bread for the crab dip could have been toasted or something more firm and doesn’t taste like it was immediately pulled from a bag. Surprisingly, the star of the meal ended up being something as simple as the French fries. They were really tasty and stood out more than some of the fancier dishes.

Service and the Final Stretch…

Our server was kind and polite, which we appreciated. But the big hiccup came at the end. Their payment system went down, and we ended up waiting over 30 minutes just to settle the bill. After sitting for about 15 minutes we informed our server that we would like to wait in the lounge area to get more comfortable as I understand…. things happen. Although while we waited for about 20 minutes there were no offers of water or anything to make the wait less awkward (not to mention asking for payment without even presenting a bill). It felt like they were more focused on turning the table than making sure we were okay during the delay. Although maybe it was an awkward start to the morning. I will say our server did her best to work things out with the technology she was given. So, I still provided her a fair tip, not her fault.

Value for Money…

In terms of pricing, it felt pretty average overall, but there were a few eyebrow-raisers. For instance, the avocado toasted croissant—topped with over-easy eggs, baby spinach, and Grana Padano—was $19, which felt a bit steep for what it was. In comparison, a pork schnitzel dish was around $21. So, while the pricing wasn’t outrageous, some items definitely made me pause and question the value.

Overall Thoughts…

In the end, my experience at Elliott’s Craft Kitchen was a bit of a letdown. So I’m surprised by some of the reviews (maybe because it was not dinner). While there were a few highlights (like the fries and a well-made Old Fashioned), the service hiccups and the underwhelming dishes mean I’d probably think twice before going back. Definitely not for brunch but I would really consider Dinner after some more reviews. Hopefully they’ll iron out the kinks as they get more established.

From happy hour to dessert, this place delivered! I came with my mom and her three friends, basically a fun little dinner party with great company and even better food!

We arrived during happy hour and took full advantage. The ribs were outstanding! Fall-off-the-bone, full of flavor, and easily some of the best I’ve had in Maryland.

The staff made us feel right at home, and our server Ashley was a total star. She not only provided great service but also took time to chat with us, which made the experience even more memorable.

A couple of small things: the bread served before the meal was a bit hard and slightly charred, and the Brussels sprouts could’ve used a little more crisp and char. But nothing that took away from the meal overall.

On the bright side, the chili fries were amazing. Super flavorful, topped with cheese and sour cream, and gone way too fast (we ordered two plates). And the crème brûlée? Smooth, rich, topped with fresh strawberries, and so good I almost embarrassed myself trying to scrape every last bit.

We heard that some negative reviews on Google were left out of spite, so I felt it was important to share our genuinely great experience. Great food, lovely atmosphere, and a team that clearly cares. Can’t wait to return, and next time, I’m not sharing dessert.

Elliott’s is a cool new spot in Columbia that offers elevated bar food and some nicely crafted cocktails! We sat at thr bar on a recent Saturday afternoon and enjoyed the buttery shrimp, cauliflower bites and shared a black and blue burger. All delicious and served to us by the chef and owner, Ryan Elliott…who is as sweet and conversational as one could dream of in a casual dining experience i forgot to take pics before we dug in but…you can see the carnage. We will be back!

All in all a disappointment start to finish. We came in, just the 2 of us for dinner. The hostess started us off with a bad experience, looked right past us, took awhile just to be seated. The vibe was just off with this place, By that point we said let’s just get appetizers and go somewhere else. We ordered the chicken bites, and the Brussels sprouts. They looked amazing via social media, the chicken was so dry and cold, didn’t come with ranch like it was supposed to, did come with fries which it didn’t say so that was a nice surprise. The Brussel sprouts had very little flavor, lukewarm, dry as can be, didn’t help we never got a refill. We couldn’t even say anything to our server because he never came back after we ordered. Just a bad experience sadly

I literally had the best blackened salmon I have ever had in my life! It was cooked to perfection! My friends and I loved everything about the Resturant! The chef was so personable and made us feel extremely welcomed. The Resturant was not super crowded and the service was wonderful. The drinks were great! Going back soon to try other items on the menu and this time, I’m going to order a to-go meal! Highly recommend!

This was my second time coming to this establishment and this time left just as great of an impression if not better than the first time. As soon as you walk through the doors you notice the beautifully sophisticated decor. Then you’re greeted and the staff is always top notch. Our waiter/ bartender was so friendly and attentive, not to mention giving great suggestions on drinks and menu items. Even the music playlist in the background adds to the atmosphere and had me wanting to download it lol.
I went on a Sunday night with my parents and grandmother. We all started with the cream of crab soup and the crab dip. What can I say we like crab lol, and it did not disappoint. Then our waiter brought us our cocktails. My mom enjoyed her Amoretto Sour, and I enjoy a suggestion from our waiter which was the Bye Bye Blues, really good. Not something I would have automatically chosen for myself, but was glad I trusted our waiter and tried something new.
For our entree my dad and I had the lamb with mashed potatoes and string beans. The lamb was fall off the bone tender. My mom had the blackened salmon with this chimichurri. She let me try and that as well was good. My grandma had the salmon sandwich which she complimented to my surprise. My grandma is a lil picky to say the least, so if she liked it enough to mention it, that means it was good lol.
Overall I can’t say enough about our wonderful experience there. More people should check it out, definitely a hidden gem.
