This is a great little hometown dinner type place. Good fresh food every time. I personally like the delight sandwiches. Danielle makes a great chili as well. Stop in and enjoy the people and the food.

Very friendly and prices are extremely reasonable. Don’t let the humble atmosphere fool you, the decor is old, but the tables are clean. This place is like walking into a friends house to sit down with their family casually to eat. Mom is busy in kitchen (seriously she didn’t stop moving for a second) but will be happy to conversate across the room to make sure you are enjoying your visit.

Ordered dinner for my husband and myself. Ordered cheese steak sandwich for my husband and chicken cheese steak for my self. Ordered a side of fries and onion rings. Everything was great. Service was good and quick.

We were looking for a non fancy diner. What we found was what felt like a unknown person’s living room with employees children or grandchildren running around screaming and throwing things. We asked if we should seat ourselves and if they had a menu..they had to hunt for a menu..and we chose a table which seem to annoy the “waitress” or “owner”. We left because we could not stand the kids running, screaming, and throwing things. It too bad for the business because they lost a potential great and repeat customer. Extremely disappointed.

Daniel was awesome, down to earth, funny, a great attitude, and knew most of my family and what some of them liked for lunch! She put together a big order for us so quick, I couldn’t believe it. Great place. Also, my Aunt Cindy said she just went to Jake’s funeral recently, my regards to the family, rest in peace. We’ll drop by again soon, when we come back from DC!

This is a gem that’s been around for a loooong time. The food is great. Wanna put together a puzzle? Come hang out! There’s a friendly group of people milling about and enjoying talking to other members of the local community.

Danielle is the greatest, if you frequent Jake’s (which you will) she will remember your name and provides the type of neighborhood breakfast/sandwich shop that has gone by the wayside with the commercialization of our area and world. And I am only 29. If you haven’t been here before, make sure you stop in!
